Join in here and discuss all the weekend action for the 2010 Watkins Glen cup race.Robby Gordon returns to the orange #7 Speed Factory Toyota on Sunday. Please note, a second car for PJ Jones will attempt to qualify this weekend. The #07 of Jones will sport the black speedfactory.tv colors.Also, the In-car camera will be provided for Robby Gordon by directv.Here is the weekend schedule for RGM at the New York track.

Practice           12:00pm - 1:50 pm/et   ( 33rd Quickest )
Happy Hour        4:10pm - 5:30 pm/et   ( 29th Quickest )

have to agree, happens far too often....you cant skip a show (Pocono) and put more effort into something (road course) and be thrilled with these results. We know that RG will still move thru the crowd, barring mistakes/decisions, he will still have a chance ... and put on a show....however, you have to expect a faster car off the trailer. crazy, crazy stuff.

Why ? everybody thought Robbys 13th, 14th & 15th practice sessions at Infineon & starting spot in the mid pack was the end of his good runs on road courses. If I am not mistaken, Robby thought his car was terrible in those practice sessions via tweets from Spotted Cow, and he had a great race. Leap off the bus if you must, I could use the legroom.

noooo worries TOG....I know he'll kick-it come race time....just would rather see comfortable speeds off the trailer...great qual effort (I know, could still happen) and and 'easy' charge to the lead. Hate seeing him get it done the 'hard' way, god knows is a joy to watch him toss cars to the side on his way thru the field.Thinking that it would be just a s enjoyable watching green to checkers win.
Heres to a top 10-15 Qual......I will get home from work in the A.M get a few things done...crack open a pre-sleep frosty one and watch the Speedfactory machine qual.

Not RG's first rodeo on a road course. Do we even know if he was pressing the issue ? Afterall, the #07 is the backup and what good would wadding up the car in practice do ? we went through that last week.

good thing we tested for this race. where is the speed? i know RG has a plan but I would think you would want to see what the car has in it before you qual.
