Sadly he is just not relevant competitively anymore in NASCAR. He was holding up a train of cars after he passed Jeff in the bus stop. I can't recall him having a dominate car (to augment his talent) on a road course since the CoT showed up. The first CoT season he did pretty well as his car control gave him an edge. Since then, the other teams have figured this car out.

Not being competitive is completely incompatible with his personality, which will make it even more difficult for him to get sponsors.

Looking forward to his future ventures.
He can still wind up 35th in owner's points even as a S&P. I don't see the 26 picking up that many good finishes to close the gap. Tough day, but it is over. At least he was not dominating and then it happened, that would have really sucked. On to Michigan, hopefully for a top 25 and gain some points.
Couldn't wait for that to be over - maybe that lightning bolt on the hood is not a good thing. Anyway, keep your heads up Robby, Miles, PJ and everyone at RGM. This race is over, now on to the next!
Points racing at a race he can win, just sucks! Come feb,who cares, have faith,he'll be in! So disappointing, been a fan for 17 years and talked to him on several occasions about the road course cars. Sad day! Come on Montreal, add to the cup series!
Geez! talk about a huge popped bubble! I like other people on here was really looking forward to this race. When I woke up this morning I was real excited. When I heard Robby Talk about the transmission.. I just fell deep into my chair. Just nothing you can do. Mechanical failures just happen. As an Aircraft mechanic I can't tell you how many brand new parts I changed out and just failled.. It happens.

I can't even imagine how big the bubble was that popped for Robby.. Just imagine spending all that money in hopes to get that big win that you know you capable of getting, then having this happen.. It just sucks! oh well.....It's racing for ya. on to the next race.
Personally, when the transmission broke, I thanked God I won't be on the receiving end of Robby's call to the transmission vendor. Not one but two broken transmissions,I can only guess how that conversation will go!
135K to the good.. Good Starting point..
Lame, I thought those straight cut gear trannies were bulletproof these days.
JR seems to break them pretty often and those are Hendrick prepared, best of the best.
Doesn't everyone run the same Jerico transmission, anyways?
That $$$ he got should fund a couple of S&P at least
PJ is listed as a fuel pump upon finish results? is this correct?
