Kasey Kahne to Red Bull Racing Official for 2011

According to Bobpockrass Twitter, The deal is now done. Kasey Kahne will drive for Red Bull Racing in 2011. Red Bull will have 2 cars (sticking with Toyota), Kahne in one, and either Brian Vicker sor Scott Speed in the other. They will not run 3 cars.

The agreement is for 1 year with Kahne moving to Hendrick's #5 in 2012.

Seriously messed up seems to overstate it a bit. He's simply not fit to race anymore. Out of the racecar and with simple medication he should do just fine.

I haven't heard any updates but he is not cleared to race right now due to blood clots. It was unclear if they are in his legs or chest. But either way a hit could cause one to move and lead to a stroke or heart attack. He should be able to manage fine outside of racing.

It's the medication he's on to keep the blood from clotting. If he were to get an internal injury or cut, he literally could bleed out.

From people I've heard from that have suffered the same illness, It usually isn't permanently cured.
