RGM #7 has a 125 point lead over 36th place

RGM would need to beat the 37 team by 11 positions to advance to 34th

RGM would need to beat the 71 team by 13 positions to advance to 33rd

RGM would need to beat the 34 team by 21 positions to advance to 32nd

Still looking good but the 26 had a real solid 24th place run tonight. Now that Conway and the team has some funding hopefully there is no more S&P for the 7 this year.
Thank's Zoom
The # 26 Team is getting A Little Close For Comfort .....
Well as said in the Entry List forum this week....Bristol is the kind of track that teams like the 26, 38 could pull out a 20-25th run due to attrition which means a good slice of the lead would be chipped away....and that is what happened...

With RIchmond, Loudon, Dover, Martinsville and Talladega still ahead, yes, the 7 will need to race alot more than it S&Ps to stay in the top 35.

Honestly, IMO it is imperative that they race in the ones mentioned above (though if the funding isnt there what can you do...it is what it is)....they won'tt lose may points at all at th cookie cutters taking 35ths...
I still feel that RGM should have left Kevin go the distance. And yes I know that he would have picked up maybe 12 more points over the 26. But it would have given the kid more track and seat time. Plus it would have increased his confidence. On the information front, when will one of the sites [Planet, RGM or Speedfactory] give the details on the plans for the 7 and the 07? It seems like we have more people on this board then ever but less real information and more speculation.
Plans about what ? The Conway #7 deal was made on Thursday night ( alas the TBA ) . sorry, but you arent going to get insight on things when they arent even done deals with RG yet with future plans. Its just not going to happen. I did see where Kevin Conway announced he will have an announcement sometime next week. There is your answer for possibbly the #7 for the rest of the year.

I fully support this!
Maybe--maybe we ( Planetheads) will learn more this week on Speedfactory.tv. Now that would be a cool show............
My understanding is that the car was set up to be a S&P for PJ Jones and they hadn't intended it to run the full race. Then the Conway deal comes through at the last minute, and I bet they had to work to just get the seat and belts workable for him. I bet his legs were completely asleep by the time he parked it. He got some good seat time and with the Cup team having two weeks off they will have plenty of time to get everything set up to run a full race at Atlanta.

If they had kept pushing this S&P prepped car, they may have ended up tearing something up like Labonte did in his ride Sat. night.
This start and park stuff is emotionally draining!! What has racing come to?
