So, yes, NASCAR’s new car-of-tomorrow still draws razzing from the men who have to deal with it, and the new machine has simply not provided any better racing or changed the balance of power in the sport or opened the door to new team owners (in fact owners are falling by the wayside, and the Tom Garfinkel-Jeff Moorad team may be the next to make a major change, just a year after they joined the tour).
Still, NASCAR officials steadfastly refuse to make any concessions to the teams to make the racing any better, in what some see as either arrogance or ignorance. "

It's almost comical that Mr. H would whine like this, but it does serve to make a great point about the POS, I mean COT.
Not to make excuses here, but how much more frustrated do you think teams like RGM are? Like the article pointed out... HOF could be the next to go. I hope and pray we do not see RGM having to make that decision.

Glad to see somebody like Rick say this. It speaks volumes for what teams like RGM are going through. Here you have the guy who last year could do no wrong saying he's baffled by this car. All the resources that organization has,& they are hit, or miss...thats a strong statement.

As much as I despise him and feel he is a part of what's wrong with NASCAR, it is good to see him voice this opinion.
ATTENTION..... There will be a mandatory meeting of ALL Cup team owners Friday at 11:00 A. M. in the NASCAR tent. No media allowed... (Snick, not really, but you can see this happening. LOL!)

The team owners should have a meeting in their OWN tent, organize and use their collective strength to help Nascar understand the struggles they are having with the car. Put their balls on the table and force some changes. With the new testing rules, teams (if they can afford it) will have full-time test crews and drivers. That puts the smaller teams at even more of a disadvantage, which is exactly the type of disadvantage that the 'COT' was supposed to help eliminate. Nascar is really losing their focus, maybe the lawsuit withe their ex-employee is their prime focus right now. Time to stop being so political Nascar, and fix your problems. Your going to lose the lawsuit from your ex-employee, and more will follow, the only thing you can do is mitigate the damages. Try to get your competition and your events back in order. It's amazing how incredibly stupid and inept Nascar appears as an organization, from the outside looking in.

In a recent interview with Dale Jr., he said alot about the COT, "From a safety stand point, I believe Nascar has created a great car. Otherwise, it looks awful. I really wish they would loose the wing and go back to a spoiler. I'm not crazy about the splitter either, but atleast get rid of that ridiculous looking wing. The car is so hard to balance, hard to get to turn and really tough to see out of. I don't think the need to start over, just make a few adjustments starting with the wing. It's not a good looking car. We try very hard to put neat decals and colors on it, but no matter how many colors and decals you put on shit, it's still shit with colors and decals."

RGM has had this car very good on many weekends,but it seems after the FIRST set of adjustments during the race is when the car seems to lose its handling. Anybody remember a race where RG was running good at the start and they changed nothing but tires? I don't recall many "tires only" pitstops . Always seems like there is trackbar,wedge,tirepressure,etc. on every stop.Also, and I am just throwing this out there, is it possible that the adjustments are good , but the driver might not be good enough yet in this car? ( i.e. put another driver in the car and see how good or bad it is, and i'm not talking about PJ Jones or Matt Crafton ) .Surely Robby's ego can handle constructive criticism, correct ? Just some thoughts.

Thats what I meant about some cross testing. If it's Penske, Rob,& Kurt switch seats for testing. If it's Stewart, then Tony, or Ryan. If (Lord help us) we're still a one car operation for next yr, hire Rusty to shake 'er down once. I really would like to see some real alliance though.

I still hear HOF is serious about forming an alliance with a team. Like you said Mike, true note sharing and ideas. Not just engines and chasis deal. Hopefully RGM can land Riggs & State Water Heaters, but if not maybe he can form an alliance with HOF

When you look at Kyle driving the car, it seems that he is driving the crap out of it despite poor handling. He looks like on every corner he is in a 4 wheel drift or even wobbling out of that at times. He smacks the wall and keeps on trucking and winning races. His concentration level must be enormous to be able to do that lap after lap for as long as NASCAR races are.
