Robby Gordon will run the #07 Mapei/Menards Toyota in the Nationwide series this weekend at Montreal. Robby will have to qualify in on speed, but they do use rain tires in case it gets wet. They also use the 'timed' group qualifying session, so Robby will be able to run a 'safe' lap before giving it a go on his latter laps. This will be a full race effort. Clear your weekend schedule!
I am guessing that the people that are crazy about Ranger are mostly Canadians like me. I have seen him race many times in the Canadian Tire Series. He is very exciting to watch. On road courses he dominates quite often, but in ovals he needs a lot of work. He's young and has tons of potential but he will have to start dominating ovals in Canada if he wants to race full time in nationwide someday. JR Fitzpatrick is a better overall Canadian driver right now, and just might attract bigger teams in Nascar because of his ability on the ovals as well as road courses, but winning in the Nascar Canadian Tire Series is just a little minor compared to The big nascar boys. You can't blame us Canadians for being excited about new drivers coming up through the ranks, especiall since in the past we have just had mostly formula one and indy drivers to be excited about. Robby is still my favourite driver by far and I can't wait until this weekend. Go Get Em
JR Fitzpatrick has drawn more attention from Cup owns, mainly Richard Childress.Andrew not so much.Between the two,I'll root for JR -far more rounded driver.IMO
Oh, have they changed the rules for the Canadian Tire series cars or are they same POS they've always been?
I think you need to correct the qualifying date, I am pretty sure it is not the 27th but the 28. I am getting my hair done on the 27th and there will not be any practice or qualifying until the 28th. Nevermind you corrected it! Your fast, you probably here that all the time.
