Robby Gordon Returns to Circuit Gilles Villeneuve
Charlotte, NC (August 26, 2010) – Robby Gordon will pilot the No. 07 MAPEI / Menards Toyota Camry in this weekend’s Nationwide Series race in Montreal, marking his first appearance since the inaugural race in 2007. Recognized as a key competitor in any road course race that he enters, Gordon has two road course victories at Sonoma and Watkins Glen in 2003 and is looking to add a Nationwide title to this list.
Robby’s Thoughts – “I couldn’t be more excited about racing the MAPEI / Menards Toyota Camry in Montreal this weekend. We had a great finish at Sonoma in the Cup car earlier this year. But after a disappointing finish at Watkins Glen, I have something left to prove on a road course this year. We have some stiff competition with the Cup regulars and road course ringers entered, but we have one goal in mind – to win this weekend’s race and bring home the trophy that should have been ours in 2007.”
Race Coverage – Fans can watch the Napa Auto Parts 200 live from Montreal beginning at 2:00 p.m. EST on Sunday, August 29th live on ESPN2. MRN will also have live coverage of the event. Qualifying from the 2.71-mile road course will be broadcast on ESPN2 beginning at 5:00 p.m. EST on Saturday, August 28th.
