I like Alan's idea.

Rob's car wasn't off by much. It was hard to tell how good the car was because he was on different pit cycles and the thing was tore up. He hung consitentley 4-5 seconds behind Edwards and JV never caught him under green.

I got that 03 Sonoma feeling in my chest again. It was awesome, and Mapei definitely got their monies worth!
Robby was saving and waiting, he didn't run hard with a full tank of fuel, Ambrose and Edwards showed what running hard early would do, Robby ran a great race, for the scheduled race run...His car was spot on and deserved a better finish.......
If it wasn't Robby, Boris would be my second choice winner. It's funny to see the guys who haven't won in a while being a bit perplexed in Victory Lane. I don't get it either, the drivers love the city and they love the track and they(fans) fill the seats. Montreal nedds to be a Sprint Cup and Nationwide race.

Was what Robby and Miles did with the fuel at the begining of the race a new strategy? They almost won the race from dead last which is not that unusual, but the fueling every lap yellow was. Getting rear ended was the only twist in the equation and the GW checker. Aside from those problems, would Robby have made it to the end?
who knows.....they were almost 2 laps short with the GWC senario
I agree with Big Zoom. The last few cautions were caused by cars that had no business being on the track in the first place. I feel like once you're more laps down than there are left in the race, you need to park it. I realize teams can make up a few spots here and there with damaged cars, but if they all play by the same rules it shouldn't matter. And the junkers in the back shouldn't determine the strategy for the leaders. I know it's not always going to work out , no matter what you do, but I think a rule like that could help eliminate a little of the demo derbies that take up the end of most races.

Supposedly Nascar created GWCs for the fans, but I don't think anyone enjoys watching 1 corner of racing, then 5 laps of caution, only to do it again, and again, and again. They used to say that the longest 2 minutes in sports was at the end of a basketball game, I think Nascar is changing that.

I agree, I have always felt Nascar can't really fix a race to pick a winner, but they sure can help a driver in front lose a race. Example: Robby walking the track( after running out of gas) under green with no yellow being thrown for his safety. Boris could have lost the race under another re-start.
Yesterday was one of the worst days ever. My daughter and I cried like babies. I kicked one of my sons toys and hurt my leg and cut my toe. I can not stand this.
It was a great race. Too bad for the finish.

Anyway, what was the exact quote when Robby and Miles were discussing pitting? Miles asking what to do, and RG saying "I'm going to stay out and win". That was classic - thats why I even follow RG in Nas$car
DOES THIS GUY HAVE HEART OR WHAT????? Only question, why did he pit 2 laps or so before Edwards and Ambrose instead of pitting WITH the leaders? It seems that that was the margin of fuel he needed. He got the track position on those two, but was passed by both of them once it cycled thru. Anyway, I think he has earned alot more respect from everyone out there than we know about!
This may have already been posted earlier but I don't think the GWC should be used on a road circuit. It extends the mileage too much.
Especially on a 4 mile circuit. The saftey crews were a bunch of bumbling idiots. Meanwhile the drivers were baking alive in the cars. I loved that the fans were giving water to the drivers, meanwhile the safety crews were pretty comfortable.
