He could run the full race but supposedly the sponsor dough won't be there until Loudon, hence the S&P strategy. Plus, rumor says the cars they've taken to Atlanta and Richmond were old with worn out motors. Which makes sense; if you're going to S&P and don't have to qualify on speed, why risk tearing up the good stuff?
