This sucks hard core. The BLM is involved, which means Government....I don't see anything good coming out of this!
Every offroad team from Vegas has probably tested in that area more than once it is one of the only areas you can legally offroad anymore especially in the summer months because of "fire season". Most of these Vegas guys already know that desert by heart every dirt road has been part of a track at some point. That is a tough call on somebody like Baldwin. Not Right in my book. Score loses on this one..Fans want to see BJ.
makes perfect sense .
Isn't this the first year that they said no testing before the race, or in BJ's case, just shaking down the truck? Is that why BJ got in trouble?
I can see with a 30 minute penalty out of the gate, why waste a truck and motor when it will be really hard to overcome? Save some $$ and head to the 1000.
If its the only legal place to test (and the best place), and there were no course markings on the road he was on????There are literally a thousand different race course possibilties in that desert. How would he know he was in the wrong. Its an open to the public area until a race weekend then its shut down completely and BLM in Nevada is no joke they take this very serious...If SCORE had a rule I'm surprised BJ didnt know about it...
Gee, I was just out there last friday "playing" around, and ran into a class 1 car team testing...The race course is well known by most of us, but yes, there different variations. Sucks for BJ no matter what...
BLM in vegas step on a bush that's 75$
I will say, they are tough out here for sure!
they are indeed tough. i live at the base of the sheep mountains up in NW vegas. we all have our side x sides and quads that we ride around the hood. occasionally, there are those late night trips up into the hills. every sat and sunday morning there are the helicopters roaming looking for perps...its all good tho. i completely understand their stance....
Just posted on B.J.'s FB page: "Very sad news today for Andy Mcmillin, Rob Mac, Larry Roesler, and Robby Gordon. 30 minute penalty has been lifted. It's on like Donkey Kong!!!! Yeeeeeeeeee Hawwwwwwwwwww!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Game on.
I enjoy BJ's enthusiasm,but hardly a sad day for RG/OR. Good for BJ's fans.
Good to hear they lifted it. Vass is now off suicide watch..lol..
