Rob- There are some races that RG will drive the #7 & Kevin will also drive the #7 with his extenze sponsorship for a bulk of the remaining races. The 7 should go the distance each week in all the remaining races. I believe that when Robby runs the #7 , Kevin wont race & when Kevin runs the #7 , Robby may or may not attempt the #07. Obviously any races that Robby runs in the #7 was already established before his deal with Extenze/Conway.

That answers the bulk of my questions. So the 7 car will be at the last 10 races, but not necessarily with Robby as a driver. Got it. Thank you very much for the response. Hope Robby can shake off some rust after being away from the Cup car for almost a month. Like everyone else here, it will be good to see him in the 7 car again.

yeah, that is what I assumed...

the races Robby has sold ( I believe it is at least Loudon, Texas and Dega?) he is running the 7 the full distance and no Conway at the track..

Then what would have been a start and park, Conway fills in with his Extenze sponsorship and goes the full distance (which should net us at least a 30-33rd with attrition every week), then if Robby feel slike S&P the 07, its his choice for a little extra $$...

That should keep the 7 locked in and let's hope for a better 2011! :)

In regards to the top 35, its great that RG is actually in the #7 and planning to drive the full race at one of his better tracks. It also appears that it doesn't really matter since the furthest back the #7 will fall in points is to 37th, and with two RPM cars out of the picture, then the #7 gets bumped back in for the Daytona 500. It also doesn't really matter unless Robby Gordon is planning to attempt the full Cup schedule next year and I have no reason to believe he is. So I don't actually care anymore if the #7 stays in or not (although I don't believe it will stay in), I care about Kevin Conway being locked in about as much as I care about Milka Duno having a starting spot in an IndyCar race. Your mileage may vary....

I wouldn't count on bumping back into the top 35 due to attrition. In these economic times, those points will go somewhere, for cash. Noone has left that cash on the table since Ginn did back when he folded Nemachek and, I think, Sterling Marlin. I agree Robby won't run every race, but the 7 might. Even if the top 35 can't be maintained (and I think it will), attempting every race (with Conway, PJ, Musgrave, you, me, whoever) keeps RGM in the field if Qs get rained out - and that seems to happen 7-10 times/year.
