He's never been a good qualifier and this has always been his worst track. that's how. Let's not cry. Talladega is a great track for him and lots could go down on Sunday.

I could see a scenario where if KC is still in top 35 after Martinsville, he is in the 7. If not, Rob is in.

Me too, and it isn't looking good. Gilliland is a pretty solid guy, and KC is a true rookie. The good news is, if the 7 falls out this year, they will be back in next year, because we are going to have a net loss of teams in front of the 7.

Every single team in the top 35 that folds will be devoured by another team to lock themselves in. I do not beleive there has been a bump up in offseason top 35 standings since its inception.

Those points are too valuable to let just disappear and Nascar allows those pointswapping shenanigans to go on...so there will be no bump up.
