COURSE OVERVIEW

To reach Jujuy, the special stage has been split into two parts, separated by a neutralised section. On the first part, the bikers will again be racing on their own track, plunging into the desert canyons where the red of the sand and cliffs is the dominant colour. There is a striking contrast with the second timed portion: the race moves to earthen tracks and the vehicles will disappear into thick green forest. The trucks have been excused from this challenge, deemed too dangerous for the windscreens which are at the same level as tree branches.

The Atacama Desert is the driest in the world, rains less than 1/2" per year. With it's altitude, the moisture it gets usually comes directly from cloud contact.

wp3 to wp4 robby fastest car on stage, salazar only lost 6s to leader in same section; looks like ween we get to hummer territory the rest of the field is in trouble

It's simple. Some of the course is wet and muddy again today. The 4X4 cars are long gone now.

still think 1mm more on the restriction tube not enough, the factory 100 million+ dollar bugets for the dakar found them some more power to but a lot of hummer territory cumming up so have some faith

Any info on Cody Quinn #15? He took off 10 Min after Street #7 but doesn't show up WP#1 or further.

Hope it's just a beacon Bug like street had yesterday. He didn't register for most of the WP's & finally showed up top 10 at the finish.
