STAGE 4 TRACKING

STAGE 4:   San Salvador de Jujuy > Calama

Connection 554km | Special Stage 207km | Total 761km

COURSE OVERVIEW

The Dakar leaves Argentina provisionally to cross the Andes mountain range via the Paso de Jama pass. To reach this point, the climb will start during the night. Once they have crossed the border, the crews will ascend to an altitude of 4,800 metres, i.e. the same height as Mont-Blanc, without crampons or ice-picks! In sporting terms, the arrival in Chile also heralds the entrance to the Atacama Desert and the first off-track racing of the rally. The start of the relatively short special stage will take place at 3,300 metres. At this point, the vehicles will have to handle stony terrain as the dunes approach.

Maybe he will be able to catch up to the Fiats.  They're still on the course.

Hopefully he has some off-road lights to attach to the Hummer.  He's going to need them!!

I Can't believe he can't get a bearing in time to start WTF? Is his team mate that far behind? He doesn't have on on board? Did he change it last night? Brutal......

I'm with you.... I'd put this one on his crew chief.  Didn't they inspect this prior to starting?  that's a pro-am race hub, pretty hard to screw it up unless it was fouled or assembled incorrectly...

What if his his team coud'/nt get him the hub?  Is that on his crew chief?  Doesn't seem so.  You know in racing, things happen, and then things go bad.  You know?  Sometimes it just goes bad.   That's racing. - I'm sure you all know that.  Yeah. sure.

Robby is out!!!!

Seriously they want to win they need to stop half assing shit like its going to last this is not score, they should have at least 4 complete rear arms assembly per car ready to go new bearings hubs and what not that way they dont rush dissasemble and fuck up like they have been im sorry but someone in thecrew really is slacking. Thats what they always have had trouble with rear a arm assembly now we see how important it is. I think after every stage remove rear arm and replace complete with another every stage and rebuild on the way to the next stage & while waiting for rg to finish boom new everything ready to go not rush trying to get sleep i know its hard on the crew but they need to plan shit better and im upset but thats racing

Unless he hit something......

Hey they fixed the way under sized wheel studs from last year
That's what I mentioned earlier, the crew is brand new except the electric guy and the manager. This is the first year for most guys. I agree the crew dropped the ball this time.
How about the 327 hummer ?

Give it to Robby please... the 327

Also someone tell robby to carry a bearing in a can, along with energy drink

How did the other hummer do today ? Anyone
