Is RGM using older COTs?

I remember when RG switched back to his own COTs which makes sense now, My question is I keep hearing that the big teams keep improving the COT and creating new chassis. I remember hearing Elliot Sadler say on Sirius that they had 20 to 30 old COTs they don't use any more. Does anyone know if Robby has been updating his COTs? I know the ones he used last year were crap (per Jeremy's blog). Does Robby still have access to GEM's 7 post?

I miss the days when his prerace press releases listed the chassis numbers. I remember in 2005 Chassis #110 seemed to do well. It finished 8th at Phoenix in 05. I would be currios to know why he is bring back last weeks chassis. I imagine it has soemthing to do with a lack of a CC. Problably no time to set up a different car.

Yeah that tends to happen when you are at the tail end all day! Certainly the rear valence is intact.....

Actually the car was turned around for 2 reasons, one, RG wanted it turned around for this weekend and two, it had all the current updates. Yes we are updating our COT's but we dont have 30 fab guys like GEM does we have 30 total so these things take time, and we do go to the 7 post, shaker rig and wind tunnel.

Cant really say, sorry, that is RGM info that cannot be shared, but it is and improvement to our program on more one front. Sorry i cant give you anymore than that.

IMO that's kinda unfair to blame it all on Walter.. he did the best he could with a new program (COT), team (RGM)... he had a lot of things outside of his control like not being able to tune his own engines.. and so on.

I bet RG will do well in the next couple of races and in many ppl's opinion Kirk is the second coming.. but let's face the facts: Kirk comes from GEM and knows (hopefully) the ins and outs of their engines, he has worked with Rob before so he knows what he is getting into, and historically RG runs good at N.H. and Dover. Plus, the crew in the pits and back at the shop will continue to put in the valient effort that they have all year (maybe even more so with their backs figuratively up against the wall). I think positive change is coming...
