This brings up another misleading media print on Robby. See the front page, Planet Robby in the news. NASCAR drivers race for prime time by the Jacksonville.com

While many have tried, NASCAR drivers have struggled to win the twice-around-the-clock race on the 3.56-mile road course. Since the Grand-Am Road Racing Series was created for the 2000 season, only two full-time NASCAR drivers have won — Juan Pablo Montoya in 2007 and 2008 and Casey Mears in 2006.

Others who have tried, and failed, include Dale Earnhardt, Tony Stewart, Dale Earnhardt Jr., Derrick Cope, Kurt Busch, Robby Gordon, Bobby Labonte and Kyle Petty.

Correct me if I'm wrong - doesn't Robby a several 24hr Daytona / IMSA wins from around 1990 - 1994? Do these not count?
Robby had four consecutive class wins in the 24 Hours of Daytona from 1990–1994, and three consecutive 12 Hours of Sebring class wins.
Thanks - I should have slowed down in my reading / thinking Robby was getting misrepresented.
The article states since the Grand-Am Series was created in 2000. I got prematurely defensive........
