The last two years I have been dissapointed because Robby's merchandise trailer wasn't there. With the new Speed Energy advertising in full effect hopefully it will be there this year. Anybody have any word on this. Im trying to decide if I need to buy it online before I go, or if I should wait and buy it at the track.

Do we really need to apologize for our disappointment? We all love Robby. We annual Daytona ticket holders have been without a trailer for two years now. Park the trailer across the street at the hotel. Do something. Make your presence known and allow people to buy your product, even if you are going to take a hit in the pocketbook. Has anyone at RGM asked for a deal to park the truck?....Amazingly, if you ask for a discount...you may just get it. We always try to make nice here, but the trailer of your race car driver is a part of the fan experience. When its not there, the Robby fan questions himself. Daytona is everything. The truck needs to be there!!! Who is with me!!! Let's march to Charlotte now, and pickett in front of RGM now!!!
I have decided to start a blog drive on nascar.com, calling on DIS to discount or wave the rental space for merchandise trailers. It has effected several drivers in the last year or two. Any Bobby Labonte fans out there? No trailer either. I also will ask anyone concerned to call Gary Weir at DIS to complain. Call on Monday between 9-5, tell him your a part of a petition to say shame on DIS for charging too much money for the space, and if TOG can put the pressure on the RGM office, we may get results. I just can't live without the trailer for another year. I might see if I can pull something on Jayski.
Robby WANTS to take the hauler to Daytona...but he wont for the price that they are demanding. No blame at all on RGM...
Good lets all call the administrative offices first thing on Monday. Sean Belgrade Vice President, Marketing
Andrew Gurtis Vice President, Operations
John Guthrie Vice President, Business Development and Partnerships
Julie Giese Director of Marketing
Lenny Santiago Director of Public Relations
Ryan Tolley Director of Sales
Kelly Dispennette Director of Marketing Partnerships

Can you guys also ask NASCAR to go back to the middle Bud Shootout format that takes 5 cars from each manufacturer?
I'm with you on being without the trailer for another year. The last time it was there was Feb 09 I believe. So this will be 2.5 years since a trailer if it doesn't show. As long as he has promotions for SPEED and brings some products for fans to purchase I will be fine. Unfortunately, I don't think the appearances and promotions will be convienient enough for those of us attending all of the events. Basically, he needs to work his appearances around all the races at the track and make them within walking distance from the track, and if he doesn't then we miss out. It's not like we can just jump in the car and drive down the street and go back to our parking space. Daytona is different than most other tracks I've been to. It's not that easy.
No matter what Robby does, he will NEVER be able to please everybody.
You're right about that TOG, plus it is the human condition to find something to complain about , even if there really isn't anything to complain about . Some people here are sounding an awful lot like spoiled brats who expect everything to go their way. They need to get over it , life will still go on even without the trailer being there .
Amen
I'm a little lost here. WE are all fans right? So Robby is doing his Best. Can not be everywhere all the time, and there is the simple cost$$$. Robby is runnig a Company as well. His Company, the best he can. It's our job, or not, to support him. There is nothing in the Trailer that WE cannot puchase online. ...IMO
It's not about pleasing people, I understand the $$$$ money part of it and how it cost bunches to put up a stand on trailer row. But in an earlier post for those of us that attend Daytona in whatever capacity take a minute and wonder all these trailers and no RGM............and there is stuff in the trailer that isn't online, I tried to purchase the RGM Motorsports Gray T-Shirt in a XL and it's not avail. I then was at the Brickyard 400 shortly after, and it was there, I recently checked online and it has never been carried in an XL, just saying. Most of us here are huge RG fans, some of us I think, see this as say going to a NFL game where say Your Favorite Team vs. Whoever and there is no merchandise to be seen in the stadium and it's a home game. Like I said, I understand it cost money, but wish some RG stuff was there, my collection needs to be updated.
