souvenir trailer at Daytona?

The last two years I have been dissapointed because Robby's merchandise trailer wasn't there. With the new Speed Energy advertising in full effect hopefully it will be there this year. Anybody have any word on this. Im trying to decide if I need to buy it online before I go, or if I should wait and buy it at the track.

Is there maybe a possibility of sharing a trailer at Daytona with another driver?
Paul Menard would be a good choice.

Does Paul have a trailer? I thought he just shows at Robby's.

I think three (Dinger, Sadler, Menard) of the RPM drivers shared one trailer. Kahne had his own.

I don't know how some of them afford a merchandise trailer; never saw anyone buying anything at several of them!

Trailer presence is dwindling everywhere. Drivers who used to have 3 with huge crowds are down to 1 with only casual lookers passing by. I only go to the Florida races so basing this on first and last race of the season. It used to take hours to stroll through the trailer area for the Daytona 500. Last time we were there 2 years ago it was down to about a third of the area. There are still crowds around the hendcrap bunch, at least JJ and Jr, not even the rainbow boy anymore. A few select others had a crowd but even those weren't 3 deep. Not like it used to be. Except for Harvick, his trailer was completely sold out in Homestead on race day except for a couple of stickers or seat cushion.

Breaking my silence..................I was flattened Rob didn't bring the trailer to the Glen last year. Tried between the Paddock and parking lot however no Rob but did meet his dad. Then some hard core Robby fans told me he was going to be at that morning thing with Steve Park and Bodine and whom ever else......not true. Got a big hassle from a "security kid" after much about nothing I managed to just get to Parks' cart, and did my thing there. Planned to make some purchases from Robs trailer...but I will say that numbers of fans crashing the trailers has gone way down lately, nothing like what it was like in the 90s' yet the fees that are charged to teams don't reflect that at all. If anything the teams are providing a "service" to NASCAR by giving the fans something of substance. I don't care who is in charge of the lot crap, teams are the sport they should be asked to show up by NASCAR not charged to be there. A face to face with Rob is great I have no problem dropping a C-note + at the trailer in return, the fan experience is where it is at. Dollars and sense I understand but Rob not making an appearance somewhere at the Glen (that I knew of) was hard to get a grip on. Just sayin'

Thank you for your honest comment. As a hard core Robby fan, I too was devastated when there was no trailer two years ago at Daytona...and I guess may never have an appearance again. My suggestion was to call Daytona International Speedway and call every department and complain about shutting out single-car teams in a sluggish economy. After my last comment in this regard, another suggested I was a spoiled brat. The Merchandise Trailer is a part of the experience. Seeing Robby - 1 of about ten drivers who is always there for his fans - always...its heartbreaking. Maybe thats the "Metro" side of me talking....

I'll settle for Robby standing at the back of a Dodge mini Van full of speed gear...i'm certain that they get charged by length then also have to adhere to a minimum just the same. I'm not crying for myself i'm crying for the 6-8 year olds Robby wants to reach who are wearing....wearing...Dupont hats. Kids are smarter than you think and when a kid sees Robby signing it sticks in his head .....LITTLE BOY: dad wheres Jeff Gordon signing? FATHER: At the restaurant he's eating at. LITTLE BOY: Can we go can we go ....can we can we huh? FATHER: No son he only signs the check the waiter brings him. I've seen it a thousand times, take me for instance, I saw the movie Grand Prix with James Garner then me and my Hot Wheels were that movie. You don't have to tell Rob how valuable a face to face hand shake is and look forward to the next one for sure. But kids remember man they do. I also remember the race that Rob and Jeff got into it just out of turn one at the Glen (Jeff lost) after the race I was at the Paddock entrance/exit Boris Said stopped his cart and singed "everything"....then Jeff came through and just raced right by the dozens of kids (his fans). Never seen Rob come through though. This response is long enough and doubt anyone is even gonna read it.
