First run you see if the car is hitting anywhere on the track.

Second run has changes made to car based on first run issues , plus more tape on grill ( automatically faster speeds )

Thirds run ( may or may not happen due to time )

How hard would it be for the networks to give every car out there at least 20 seconds airtime? No wonder its so hard for some of the smaller teams to land sponsors, no guarantee you'll get on TV unless you finish well or crash.
