Those must be hard hits, Robby say anything about it?
I don't think they are using much strength in the rear of these cars anymore, maybe for better overall weight distribution, those panels don't survive anything anymore.
check out the inside on the quarter panel -minimal bracing

Yeah, that's what I thought, when they do their burnouts and at worst, they can completely rip out the rear window, you got to know there's not much there.

I still want to know if they are using the exhaust back pressure (like a big truck Jake Brake), redirecting it to make down force where they need it. I've asked a couple of media guys to ask around, they've yet to get an answer. Now kinda curious if new year brought about rule change that stopped them from doing it.
Waltrip only wrecked 1 car today...how many on Sunday?
what is Robby tweeting about? Who is chirping that Rob caused any mayham?
After watching the duel race it seemed that he was the pusher 100% of the time. They would all use him to catch up and when it was necessary to switch, they would dump him. This seems to be confirmed when the spotter said "NOBODY wants to work with you" and listening to him trying to negotiate a deal. Not to say that RG may not have help by some guys like Gilliland and Terry Labonte, but I think over 500 miles that staying clean and luck will play more into a good day than ever before. This is the weirdest racing with total reliance on someone else that I have ever seen. Just hope that being part of the small Dodge team that they will look out for each other. Doubt it though. Could be a long day.....
Robby kept sticking the right side of his nose out and the 56 specifically said he wont run with him if he did that. Robby felt that sticking the nose out every 3 laps slowed the car less then "swapping" they did catch the pack a few times doing that. So he might be right. The swapping stuff will get old over 500 miles. I bet a lot of dance partners try a robby approach after they watch the replay.
I don't think that is the issue.
#56's problem was probally butt pucker factor... It's sketchy out there.
I tend to agree that approach was working and keeping Robby from over heating, but I think that the other drivers are afraid that they might get turned as they go through the corners. I hope you are right and others think it is a good strategy. Yea Fly, butt pucker factor!
The 21 seemed to be using that approach as well.
Brad Keslowski made it pretty clear how well the Dodge's will work together early in the race. FAIL

I'm not sure how you would look at a tape of that race and decide that RG's strategery worked best.
