Robby's biggest rival

Was watching some old offroad vids of Robby racing Walker Evans in the old Mickey Thompson Stadium Series and got to thinking . Who do you all think was Robby's biggest rival ? It can be present day or in the past , offroad , nascar or any other racing Robby did . After watching that vid i GOTTA say it was Walker . What do you all think ?

Man did i ever open a can of worms with this 1 . I thought id hear alot of folks talking bout OTHER DRIVERS as Robby's rival not Robby himself lol . I think part of the reason you all say Robby is is own worse rival is due to the fact that he's actually TOO competitive , if thats even possible ? Robby just wants to be the best he possibly can be and maybe yeah sometimes he does try to hard , but that what makes Robby so good . HE HATES TO LOSE !!!!

Well there is two ways to read RG being his own biggest rival.

1. He pushes himself harder then any single racer can. He wants to beat them all... <-how Fly looks at it.

2. He pushes himself to the brink of failure... <- How most others look at it.

I'll agree with statement # 1

Thats why Robby is my fav driver of all motorsports . No matter what he's driving he always goes balls to the wall .Yeah sometimes it bites him in the ass but i'd still rather see someone go all out for the win than to just piddle puddle around just to earn points . Hell i think thats part of the reason Robby doesnt do better in cup , cause thats basically the way its done there . Thats why i like the new points format in nascar it puts more emphasis on winning now than just cruising around gathering a few points here a few points there . I mean look at Jimmie Johnson 5xs now he's putted around most of the race season then goes for the wins in the last 10 chase races and yeah its worked , but how damn boring !!!!!!!!!!

I WAS A FLAGMAN AT THE FIRST RACE AT THE COLASIUM MICKEY RACE LUARA BACH ROLLED HER JEEP IN MY TURN IN THE CELEBRITY RACE BUT I THINK YOURE TALKING LATER STADIUM STUFF. THE IRON MAN AND MILLEN WERE HIS TEAMMATES IN TOYOTAS BUT I THINK YOURE THINKING JIMMY JOHNSON?

I agree Rob has been his own worst enemy over the years BUT don't you think he has learned over time from some of them? Look how great he has been with sponsors vs. 15 years ago. I think he has really grown and learned to live with the consequences. He hasn't called his manufacture’s engine a pig since his CART days and he hasn't thrown a helmet at the POS since FOL dropped him. He pays the bills to keep the lights on at the end the day but I have seen improvement so I am still a big fan!
