???? Are you asking if there are any plans for a new manufacture for the trophy truck?
I'm going to go out on a limb and say no. However, If he was in a Geiser truck with his Motor package he would be the fastest one out there. I think Robby is a much better driver than Jesse Jones, Jesse James, Bryce Menzies,Tavo Vildosola, Andy, Scott and Mark McMillin. Geiser builds a great package that lets these drivers be competitive but a world class driver with the same package he would be dominating.
The RG truck that Mark Post has was probably the best package when it came out. I think Robby got sucked into the mid engine thing some time ago when Larry Ragland was smoking everybody in "Arnold" and then everybody needed to have mid engine with V drive. With the technology today the front engine is the way to go now. These trucks work much better in the rough and seem to float where Robbys truck doesn't seem to go as fast. Everybody is going to say that the latest RG truck won a championship and won the Baja 1000 with Andy and a runner up last year but
I think it has to do with the driver overcoming the shortfalls of the package. Just my .02
todd i agree with you on this, but robby is robby and his gonna do things his way...and giesers i do agree make a great product...and have been dominating.from my understanding robby set his stuff up for his liking , san felipe is really rough on equip. and running single shock in my 0.2. is not a good idea but running a bypass shock is another part you have to worry about. i know robby runs kings in his pro 2 i think or used to and had them in the hummer when it just came out ...oh and also agree on the mark post truck comment..oh and i didnt see scoops on robbys truck.. i know post and norman run water tanks to cool the shocks down maybe an idea for robby to think using for next year..
very simple, he just need 2 shocks per wheel for san felipe,
Almost all the TT are running single shock per wheel. The shock that holds the coil spring has minor valveing in it. That why King shock came up with the KING KONG 4". Nobady knows for sure what even broke on the shock.........could have bent it or blew a seal and lost the oil. Alot of thing can go wrong with a shock and its not all heat related.
There is more than just minor valving in the coil-over on a TT.
Water cooled RGX shocks...
yeah he's getting a Gibbs chassis...
I hear hendrick makes a good truck too. ha
I think it's time for one, personally. It's been what..6 or 7 years now with the current package?
No Gibbs, no Hendricks, just RG technology. I think he has the mid-engine w/ VDrive for reliability. What do you all think?
the Gibbs comments are just poking fun
