I thought he was referring to trashing another car as stupid. With the damage I'd guess that car had, they MAY have gotten one extra spot given the low attrition in the race.
Killing cars hurts more then the sponsor side of the sport. If you look at this season, yes they have run better, but killing cars will make for less races. If I recall, only one race did they not destroy a car. The plan needs to be 3 races in a row with clean cars. Slow down, keep cars intake make some money, spend it when you can race.
We also don't allow logic on the planet. Knock it off.
Love this post.
Even though a DNF, I count at least 1 full minute of Speed Energy TV time. Mission accomplished.
The truth of the matter is if you run up front, they usually will talk about you. The Daytona 500 was still a bit perplexing... But today sort of proved the theory. Everybody had good stuff to say about Robby and they consistently showed his battles in the split frame.

Maybe it was the Speed they dropped off in the Fox booth earlier in the weekend?
At least Robby tried to make something happen this weekend and not just settle for running 35 or so, Just didn't work out, but I liked what he was trying to accomplish. Good move, bad luck. Need to keep that type of think going.
RG was driving like it meant something to him. I liked that. On the sirius coverage they were saying he was consistently the hardest car to pass.
looking back , staying out was still the correct thing to do.
Just needed a timely yellow and it would have been a great move. Still got more TV coverage than usual by a bunch!
I agree 1000000%.
I think that move was good but risky because of the unkowns of the new tire. It wasnt so much bad luck, it was just a risk that didnt work out. If we get funding from Speed sales, we can build better equipment and hire more people, thus reducing the need to take risks to get upfront. Nothing we all dont know and it is frustrating. I must say we have been getting a lot of air time for Speed Advertising, it usually comes when we Spin or hit a wall, and its kind of embarrasing as a fan. But any airtime and talk is good for the business, hopefully we can put together a few good finishes here in the future.
