TMS is giving Robby crap about promoting Speed Energy at thier track. They towed the show car, and forced RGM to remove all of the Speed Energy from the track - no free samples can be given away. They're citing the tracks Red Bull sponsorship as the reason. More exclusivity bullshyte.

We need to let TMS know that they are alienating fans. They have a twitter account that someone follows, so let's blast them. If you have a twitter account, use it, if you don't, go sign up for one.

Send tweets to @TXMotorSpeedway expressing your displeasure. Mention @RobbyGordon and @SpeedEnergy and include the hashtag #RallyForRobby.

Let's do this!

No true texan would waste their time looking for work up north. I pity the fool! Haha.
OK. Here's an idea. Hope you all like it.
RG sells special $10 SPEED ENERGY T-shirts at his trailer and web-site. These shirts have, SPEED ENERGY logo on the front, and a message on the the back "I got my free case!" on the back. There is also a check box which gets checked with a sharpy pen. RG sends a a small army of "undercover finders" into the crowd. When they find a fan with the shirt, They check the box with a sharpy pen and give the fan a mail-in coupon for a free case of assorted Speed Energy.

There will be a sea for Speed Energy shirts in the crowd! (NASCAR will for sure try to catch the finders and expell them, but it will be impossible to get them them all!)
Will this be a special Sharpy or will everyone get a free case?
It doesn't matter....standard Sharpy. The "undercover finders" working for Robby have the Sharpy pens and coupons. The fans wear the shirts. The check box on the shirts make sure that each fan that gets found with a shirt can only get one free case......only one free case per shirt. (The number is free cases given away is a known number to RG since he knows how shirts he sold into the crowd)
I decided to do my part and send an email to TMS. I still can't believe they responded in such a timely manner. This was there reply...

Thank you for taking time to contact Texas Motor Speedway. Please understand that the speedway and SMI work with a multitude of partners and do not have these types of issues. Robby Gordon and his team are trying to do ambush marketing at the speedway without paying for it. Other corporate partners, such as Chevy, Dodge, Red Bull, AAA, Aflac, Nationwide, Sprint and many, many more, spend millions of dollars each year to abide by rules not only at SMI tracks but also ISC tracks. Robby Gordon’s marketing crew are trying to do it without paying a dime which underscores the integrity of other brands. If this continues, other partners will not come to the speedways and where will that leave the sport? Please don’t think that the speedway is trying to bully Robby Gordon and single him out. He is actually the only one trying to do this and go around the system.

Sincerely,

Texas Motor Speedway
Yes, so what. It's promotional. It'll be considered marketing after a year and the brand and product are established. Texas Motor Speedway should be promoting Speed Energy for all the speed they have there.

TMS Sucks!
Red Bulll must have seen this picture from last week.

CoolerCombo
I agree with you Rob. Do they own the air space above the event? Why not drag a speed energy banner around via plane for an hour. That's cheap advertisement....
Yah right!
If rgm did pay to have the car towed out. I'm sure it was due to them being told by TMS to do so. PR stunt or not. Essentially making the most of it.
Cang has a wild imagination. Whatever thought he stumbles upon that day he goes with.
