agree...think if you stick with something for awhile your odds are better of learning from mistakes....
smooooooooth beer boy
In the garage at lap 74 . Brakes...Oh joy!
Hate to say this folks, but, Robby Gordon's NASCAR racing career is over. No money. What now?

For those of you who watched the Indy 500, great race today! Actually, very exciting to watch and the telecast was not as boring as NASCAR'S hours upon hours of pre-race hype.
Who said anything about no money or RG's NASCAR career being over? Where is your source?
Oh well! The ride was bittersweet! I kinda agree with Edwardo though.... Thought we were running the whole race...Guess the car sucked so bad the plan changed....
I was taken back when RG said he wouldn't consider CTS because it was "spec" racing. Most of the rival drinks run it, and RG isnt getting much TV exposure at the current state of things. Personally, I think he has to get to a place that allows his car control to showcase he still has talent.

I know the purses aren't there in Nationwide or Camping World but way to many of these "worst case scenario" weekends have played out during the past few years. The team has sent a second car home on way to many occasions.

Legit issues or not, the team has not been competitive in so long that when they are , either unproven strategy or mechanical failures get a hold of them. While its not all experience, a lot can be learned from running up front. Unproven people and parts in demanding situations are rarely going to provide winning results. Thats what we have banked on for far to long, 4 races per year that offer chances to run well.

RGM is a long way from the 2005 success that gave birth to the #7 Cup Car to start with, its past time to go back and try to recapture some of the glory that started it. You will not be able to convince me RG cant give Sadler a run for his money week in and out and challenge for a championship in the twilight of his career. Those good runs could give way to opportunities in Cup or the many other places people want to see RG run.
Ever think that maybe Robby knows more about racing and racing series then you do? Which team/s do you own? Just say'n!
Since you asked, I raced karts for about 6 years, two separate owners invited me to test sprint cars for them, each time I tested but knew it was nothing I could be competitive in and ultimately walked away from a contract.

Like most here, I never owned a cup team but I did work on one for two seasons.

You do realize these "blind faith" replies add nothing to the conversation. Post a response that maybe proves my points wrong or that I based them in ill logic.
Why did you quit after 6 yr's?
I'm sure he knows more than all of us, but there are tons of people in NASCAR who know way more. I think that matters more! It's pretty obvious.
You're right! I would guess none of Robby's fans own race teams? I don't own a professional team of any kind either. That dosen't keep me from being a fan, with an opinion.
I have followed Robby through thick and thin over the past twenty plus years. I have mostly been positive about his career. However, being a fan, who does pay $$$ to watch Robby run races and I do buy his swag, does allow me some rights to voice my opinions.
From my point of view, Robby's career, sadly, is coming to an end. We'll no longer be able to cling to the edge of our trackside seats and cheer for our favorite driver, Robby Gordon. What a sad day for all of us, to watch this very talented, bull-headed driver go out with a whimper.
What the hell ever happend to the guy who's mantra was: "drive it like you stole it"?
