Shifting at Pocono

Mike Ford/CC for Denny Hamlin stated on Sirius/Nascar radio that Nascar is allowing shifting at Pocono. That would be great for Robby, but doubt he's running the full race though.

NASCAR never "disallowed" shifting at Pocono. The gear ratio rules that they put in place a couple years ago pretty much eliminated shifting as we saw back in the late 90's and early 00's. Several guys still tried to find ways to shift, including Robby.

In addition the the rear gear rule that Trooper reminds us of, there was a tranmission gear rule.
