ok everybody.... kumbaya
Don't forget RGM still has full time employees to pay. This is bigger that us wanting to watch a full race. It's about a small business being successful, and racing when they can. Unfortunately every decision is under scrutinized by people who don't understand how and what needs to be done on a week to week.

Who else in cup does what RG does.................crickets
Maybe R.G.M. can turn part of the race shop into a SPEED energy canning plant Then the employees can work producing SPEED energy drink on the off-race weekends and still stay employed.
It's hard to tell around here lately - but I'm going to assume you're making a funny here. At least I hope you are.
to Mike, this year they changed rainout qualifying to be based on practice speeds, so you don't need to show up every week to make the race if quals are rained out. Didn't think so many posters here would get upset over questioning a start and park. With the new qualifying format, it doesn't matter if you show up every week as long as you're quick in practice. RGM has consistently been one of the slowest 3 cars at the track this year every week. Robby's got 2 realistic shots to win a race in Cup..why not skip a meaningless weekend in Kansas to do some testing at VIR or Road Atlanta?
from Jayski,
After the 5th race of the season, the current season OWNERS points are used:
#1) - First 35 by current Owner Points [position 1-35][top 35 teams do NOT need to attempt ALL the races]
#2) - Last Years Cup Champ or the Event Champion if not already in the field
#3) - Car Owners whose team has won in the previous and current season not already in the field
#4) - Drivers who have won in the previous and current season not already in the field
#5) - ALL Past Cup Champions not in by 1 thru 4 [is NOT charged against the 6 past champ provisionals]
#6) - Most Qualifying Attempts [not starts] with Owners points as the tie breaker
#7) - Qualifying Order Position
(all above apply as long as the team was entered by the entry deadline - usually 7-13 days before the race)
I didn't realize they still kept the non-top 35 separate. What a stupid rule, but then again it is nascar we're talking about.
Great Race with Scott Wimmer at the helm........some fantastic calls from the pitbox. Robby Gordon was able to take care of some personal stuff as well as some PR work. IMO, the hole Weekend was a success.
Just herd the 18 car failed post race inspection
bet ol RICHARD CHILDRESS IS LAUGHING HIS ASS OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Kyle is a punk in my oppinion I think the whole thing was hilarious. I am sure you are right though !!! lol
Just got back from the track. From a fan's perspective, it looked like Scott did a great job navigating his way through his time on the track. Hopefully the team learned something for the future!
Man from what I understand we are out of 35th by 2 pts, i dont know if this was supposed to be a start and park, or the funny send the car out there to learn data on the car and get Speed some airtime (by being to only car running on the ticker next to the cars that say out) until the number 7 eventually says out too. Im trying to stay positive but my driver isnt even racing I have nobody to pull for Im sorry but im a Robby Gordon fan i will pull for whoever he puts in the car but it sux for me not being able to sit down and watch him run. what I dont understand though is why they didnt stay out and do whatever they could to try and get three extra points to get in the top 35, i missed most of the race so maybe someone (and im sure they will) can clue me in on what happened to keep that from happening. And I guess if he isnt running all the time the top 35 isnt huge...but we know qualifying is not his strong point.
