I see this no different that the guys running lead pelles or a stick in the quarter or door

Opinion: there is only one reason to make an oil pan (lowest part on the engine) 6x heavier than normal. To gain advantage.
Fact: jgr knows that everypart on the car needs to be approved by NASCAR and these heavy oil pans were not approved.

Either way they should get penalized big time for this. Blatant effort to gain advantage.
