Sorry if this is a double post, no search feature on the mobile site. Has anyone beento the either if the race shops? I'm curious how things are there as far as a viewing window, hero cards, and the availability of merchandise. I'm planning on hitting the NC shop in a week when I head back up north for my wedding. Any idea if I'd be able to get the speed hummer shirt and hat or would those ship from Cali?

Thanks for the info.

Anaheim has been closed to the public for a few years now.
As Bricoop said, its closed to the public. But, from time to time when you drive by, the gates are open. I have heard a few people say they walked up and were treated very politely and given a brief tour. I have also heard that when you see Robby outside he is extremely friendly too. Its real small and Im pretty sure theres no merchandise shop inside, although you can see his Dakar transporters from the street.

All and all, dont go out of your way to visit it. Its not really in a part of town where you would "be in the area" and stop by.
The North Carolina shop is in a bad part of town? Or are you guys talking about Cali? The shop I'm more interested in is his cup shop in North. Carolina... Thanks for the info so far though.
California. search the Charlotte race thread (as memory serv's) there info there.I'd help, but off to the first summer party of the year.If there's no action,I'll look tomorrow.
I stopped at the NC shop last year and was turned away as soon as I walked in the door no looking in the shop or swag for sale. you mite be abel to peek into the window till the police show up. the shop was in a Industrial park not to scary must be the one in cali you have to watch your back at good luck drew
all about timing. There is no viewing area at the NC shop & If people show up at lunch time, the guys are on break & it's hard to get quick peek-ins...( I take people back for a quick peek inside the shop all the time , but again, it's all about timing )

Charlotte race week they have a section roped off to the public.

My advice is send an email to see what time works for the staff there.
It's kinda hard to believe that for someone who is usually really great with his fans he wouldn't have a fan accessible shop. I tried to call the shop earlier which led nowhere and any emails I've ever sent the shop have never been returned. I guess I'll try again lol. I'd just rather buy my speed hummer apparel from the shop then online, figured I'd save on shipping and would have more "meaning" if that makes sense. Sounds like I blew my shot many years ago when I was in middle school and walked into Robby's shop when he was running for Menard's and he walked out of his cubicle and said Hey how's it going and I didn't even recognize him....UGH! I'll try and shoot an email the way of the shop though, thanks TOG. Do you work for RGM?
The guy at the front desk is a real hard ass! Tough to get by him. And what ever you do, dont tell him you know Nikal. That will get you escorted out of the building and told to leave the property, if he does not rough you up first!
lol are you being serious? I've been out in the sun all day in Tampa so my brain isn't working...
Ask TOG!
LOL...He's kidding Drew....
Ted didn't say that either shop was "scary" or in the "bad part of town." He probably just meant it's not in a place where you would normally just be driving around and happen to be in the neighborhood. In any case, the California shop is not in area where you'd have to "watch your back" by any stretch of the imagination.
