Let's have some fun..who's the best?

We've heard time and time again about how talented Robby is. I wondered, if everyone were to rank the drivers of nascar on pure driving talant, where would the drivers fall? Who are the top ten pure driving talents in Nascar today? I'll start:


1. Tony Stewart
2. Jeff Gordon
3. Robby Gordon
4. Kyle Busch
5. Juan Pablo Montoya
6. Jimmie Johnson
7. Mark Martin
8. Carl Edwards
9. Greg Biffle
10. Ryan Newman

Ok..so what do you think? Let's have some fun with this. I know some of you have insider knowledge of the sport and probably know a lot more than me. This will be interesting.

I agree with that list somewhat, but I believe that by 10 races into next year, Scott Speed will be on that list.

How the HECK do you rank Kyle bush in the top 5. He is not good unless he has the equipment. He has only done great with joe gibs! The most natural telent is robby but it turns out robby has no friken brain. but its

Kyle has been fast and won races for Hendrick, Ballew, Braun, and Gbbs Racing. Every team he goes to is instant upgrade...every team he leaves is instant downgrade. I think Kyle has to be one of the most obvious cases of driving talent in Nascar. Compare/Contrast the #18 and #5 with and without Kyle

Three or four years ago I would have said its a toss up between TS and RG.

Scott Speed? Not going to argue with the talent......I'd like to see how he handles a Stock Car at let's say Daytona or Talladega with the above names before I would even consider him......High suceess at other racing levels doesn't equate to sucess in a stock car.......see Franchit and see Montoya

Make no mistake..Montoya is a serious talant. Ganassi's stuff is not very good and I don't care what you can do with a race car....you're not doing anything with bad equipment. Team trumps talent in Nascar.
