Zoom, Thanks for posting.
It has been a disappointment, but the lights are still on, and on to Michigan and Canada. I have been a fan of RG since his Mickey T. days, so I think I have seen every way RG can race and at least he is doing it his way.RGM has had its back aginst the wall since the Team Gordon days in Champ Car / CART. Is what it is and I am sure no one feels worse than RG, on to next weekend
Wow...the exit lanes are filling up quick..

The car was actually great, ran Top 5 speeds most of the race, just didn't have the motor to pass and had a hard time getting the track position. I'm sure they learned alot from this race. Besides, it's all about just making races and surviving...while selling & promoting SPEED. Not sure why so many can't understand that. When the products are moving and the money starts rolling in then you will be able to enjoy RGM.
I'm proud to be a Robby Gordon fan. I give the guy a bunch of credit to start a business in this economy. I keep drinking and buying Speed. I'll always be a fan.
The sport has changed to a franchise sport with only a few teams competiting for the Chase. This use to be a sport where anyone could make the race and fight for a win. Put Robby in a Hendrick car and he is top 15 day in and day out.
Really? Do you realize there's been more lead changes this year than ever before...ever! Rookie Trevor Bayne won the Daytona 500. Regan Smith won Darlington and Paul Menard won Indy...(3 of the crown jewel races of NASCAR, won by first time winners) This year has had 5 first time winners already, with 14 races left.

Not to mention on the other side...Dale Jr is still winless (over 2+ years now), Jimmie & Jeff Gordon have only won 1 race each this year. Clint Bowyer, Jamie McMurray, Juan Pablo Montoya, Jeff Burton, Joey Logano, Greg Biffle and Tony Stewart are all winless. They all have huge organizatons, engineers and more money than most teams.

Robby had a car that could win at Watkins Glen...the motor they bought wasn't up to par. It happens. Parts break, tires come apart, accidents happen, and &strategy plays a role...all part of racing.
Like your thinking Zoom......
Sorry Zoom, but you substantiated some of Deker's post.None of these teams are 'independents' they all have major ties to the big 'franchises'
Bayne- Roush
Smith-RCR chassis-ECR engines
Ragan-Roush
Ambrose- Roush
It makes for a bigger David vs Goliath story than before!
As far as being frustrated by the teams performances as a fan, just think how Robby's feels about it!
Robby can't just go over to Hendrick, mount a seat, claim a car, so back to reality.
It would be interesting to list all the independent teams and who they are aligned with. I think that we will see very few, if any other then RGM, are truely independent. Even JGB has found a need to get into a smaller bed with Toyota.
Driving ability top 10 no doubt...............the big question "Robby's Way" not a chance. Not a knock on RG just the facts...just the facts as a well known LAPD officer said.
When it was announced back in February that Robby would be running a partial schedule I expected the 7 to be out of the top 35 by the June Pocono race.
I just hope we run Talladega. The rest of the cup schedule I could care less about this year. Montreal is our best bet for a win this year, so lets do it.
