2011 Richmond #2 Race Info & Discussion

Join in here and discuss all the weekend action for the 2011 Richmond #2 cup race. Robby Gordon will attempt to qualify for the race & it is NOT a full race. Here is the weekend schedule for RGM at the Virginia track.

FRIDAY , SEPTEMBER 9th

Practice 12:00pm - 2:00 pm/et ( TV - ESPN2 )
Happy Hour 2:45pm - 3:30 pm/et ( TV - ESPN2 )

Qualifying 5:30pm - 7:00 pm/et ( TV - ESPN2 )

SATURDAY , SEPTEMBER 10th

Raceday 7:00pm ( TV - ABC )

@Ed, IMO looking at the picture TOG posted, the left rear was moved way forward.And based on radio chatter after reapiring and trying to re-enter the race, the truck arm bolt was loose,leading one to believe at least the left truck arm was replaced.No the additional $290 didn't really pay for anything.
A set(4) of tires is $1800.

The car sat there because it couldnt move on its own , it was wrecked badly.

If Robby can get the best equipment and year round rides (or sign up for 5 years of driving someone else's equipment that would rock) who cares if he owns his own equipment he needs something to get him back to the top of the sport and right now with the start and stop racing this sucks for us fan's to watch him go out for 10 or 40 laps and then quit.

Chevy, Ford, Dodge, Mercedes, Hummer it is all good just equipment that allows him to get a top 15 or top 10 or of couse a win.
ALSO Lets do only road cources and short track's, these seem to be the only exciting tracks worth watching races at NOT BECAUSE of Robby but bottom line the only fun to the sport is watching the crashing and fighten. The best equipment and 1 1/2 or 2 mile races are boring even the hard core Nascar guy.
LET'S GET Short Track racing as 1/2 the races and 5 more road races a year and get those guys into racing, fighten and talent races rather then this buddy, buddy bs that they have now full time.
