If it was 2005 he was 37th in points at the fall Dega race.
but it was 2006. Robby finished 05 in 37th. Had to Q at Daytona. When 06 spring Dega rolled around he was 31st. Was 29th going into the July Daytona and 27th going into 2006 fall Dega.
All the following teams were outside the Top 35 except RG when they attempted Talladega & Daytona this season. Here's how they qualified for each race:
7 Robby Gordon (Dega -Sam Hornish 42nd, Daytona Mike Bliss 42nd)
15 Michael Waltrip (Dega -12th, Daytona Did not attempt)
21 Trevor Bayne (Dega -11th, Daytona 2nd)
35 Geoff Bodine (Dega - Did not attempt, Daytona 35th)
37 Josh Wise (Dega - Did not attempt, Daytona Did not attempt)
38 Travis Kvapil (Dega - 28th, Daytona 27th)
46 Scott Speed (Dega Did not attempt, Daytona Did not attempt)
55 J.J. Yeley (Dega Did not attempt, Daytona DNQ)
66 Michael McDowell (Dega - DNQ, Daytona 33rd)
77 TBA
87 Joe Nemechek (Dega 22nd, Daytona 43rd)
97 Kevin Conway (Dega 32nd, Daytona 22nd)
Just showing the competitions qualifying efforts this year...doesn't mean a thing. Look at Joe, 22nd at Dega but 43rd at Daytona, and many haven't attempted a plate qualfying run this year.
Really doesn't mean much, 90% of qualifying at Talladega is with what you unload with. If it ain't fast when it unloads it's hard to get alot more speed at the track.
Well I'm happy to see a planned full race, no wait, I'm sad now, Texas has been removed from the pylon. Did the team forget that I'm traveling all the way from NH to TX to see him attempt a full race run? Please reconsider about Texas, or at least have the trailer there.Yes, it is all about me.
I'll be glad when this year is over hopeing next year will have the funds to run a full and normal program.
