The Race route is just insane..I watched all the Media last year as well as hanging here on this site and never really never grasped the whole 1000 mile thing, I guess. Open and close gates ? Every area having nick names...Be carful section. You don't want to break here and here. No cell service..WTF. Crazy stuff. This is Great....

@JR, I'm glad you got as much out of that as I did. Stuff I've never heard before.

I will not be racing or going down to the 1000 this year. I will be at work checking in as much as I can, just like the rest of you guys.

If anyone has any questions that I might be able to answer post them up! I will reply to them as soon as I read them.

Everything you heard Cam say on the video is correct. I could tell you guys crazy stories of my play/prerun trips in Baja that would blow some people away. Baja is a beautiful place, but can be crazy too!

Thanks Nikal, thankfully you have work. Mike

Yes I feel blessed my wife and I both have good jobs that we have been at for a long time. But in this economy you just never know, what might seem secure today could be in jeopardy tomorrow. One more reason I am not racing right now.

Whos driving the Speed Alpha car?

I believe it is listed under John Mantey in the Sportsman car class #1449. The Mantey's are out of Tennessee. Clyde Stacey & Justin Mantey are the owners of RPM Offroad, a shop in Bristol TN. I dont know if they have leased or purchased the Alpha car. TOG might know that. Clyde is entered in TT, he has the Gieser Bros #18 TT. He starts two positions behind RG.

It looks like we have two Speed Trophy Trucks to follow this year...RG (77) and Roberto Encinas (22)!

Looks like there are two other SPEED sponsored vehicles also. A class 1 in Speed orange that says RPM Racing on it (#?). And a Class 7 truck (#702) of Brandon Walsh.

Thanks for the video Cameron was very informative it was great getting a step by step trip through the course............anyone want to hazard a guess who Cam was talking about when he said not to be a jerk once you got back into town?????????? and to just take it easy ;-) a subtle jab but thats cool.

Yeah should earn him a few points with Sal.

Ive done a total of 19 baja races. I can answer questions too, but its been 20 years since I raced
part of nine or more winning teams including Jack Johnson, Dan Smith/Dan Ashcraft, Kurt LeDuc, Casey Folks, Max Switzer, Rob Tollesson, Scot Harden/Brent Wallingsford Probably forgot some.
