Robby Gordon made the most improvement during the AMP Energy Drink 500 at the Talladega Superspeedway. Gordon started the No. 7 Mapei/Menards Dodge 42nd in the lineup and finished 8th. This gain of 34 places earned him the USG "Improving the Finish" award given to the driver who best improves their finish from the green flag to the checkered flag. Gordon is currently 32nd in the 2008 Sprint Cup point standings after this race.

Robby will be given the award at Charlotte during driver introductions.
