How does Kurt Busch keep his ride when so many others would do anything to get his seat at Penske?

WARNING LANGUAGE!!!!

OK with sponsors being hard to come by, with teams like RGM struggling to find funding. With mega teams like RCR and Roush shutting down teams, with guys like Reutimann, Ragan and Vickers looking for a ride in any series.

How is it Kurt can keep a fully sponsored ride? This video makes me appreciate guys like RG even more all the time.

I dont know how many saw Kurt give the middle finger out his front window as he was pulling into the garage right after the trans broke in his car at this last race. But that was the beginning of his rage.

Here is a video of Dr Jerry Punch trying to interview Kurt during the Homestead race. Actually they were waiting to go live and Kurt was pissed he was having to wait. He really got mad when Jerry asked him if he knew a part of his trans might have put a hole in the front of Stewarts car.

Thank God video cameras weren't around in the early 80's... Bobby Allison and Cale Yarborough would have never made it...

I haven't seen the video yet, but from what I am hearing from everyone it seems that the Big Busch is just as bad as Little Busch. That's a real shame. After years of not really liking (hate and despise are too strong of words to use) Kurt,especially after he took out Robby in the All-Star race in 2002. Once Robby was in a Dodge along with Kurt and Brad, I tired to overlook his past mistakes and chalk that up to immaturity. Now I am not so sure. Too bad everyone didn't go to the "Bobby Labonte School of Public Relations"

No wait...what about the TV coverage of the Bulls Balls Rally did I miss something?

Penske Racing apologized in a statement and said the incident was being reviewed internally.

"Penske Racing extends its apologies to Dr. Jerry Punch, our media partners and our sponsors and fans for Kurt Busch's inappropriate actions in Homestead on Sunday," the statement said. "These actions do not represent Penske Racing and are inconsistent with the company's standards for behavior, respect for others and professionalism."

NASCAR called Busch's language in the video "disappointing" but noted the driver was frustrated because an early transmission issue had knocked him out of the race.

"Clearly, Kurt was frustrated with what happened with his car that early in the race, however his choice of language at the time was disappointing," spokesman Kerry Tharp said.

Key word, "choice!" Kurt made, and continues to make many bad choises. These are the people who help pay has salary...Its one thing like Earnhart Sr. expressing his displeasure with another driver, or Nascar. That was good stuff! He used the media to spread his word on who and how he was frustrated with.
Does anybody rember our own boy back in the Indy car days when he was racing the Dolara chssis I think, and the Ford Cosworth power, and on live tv telling the media and us, how as he put it kinda, "We are supposed to be getting the same stuff as Michael Andretti, i.e. motors, chassis ect, and we are NOT getting the same stuff as them, and our is junk? The very next year, his contract with Carl Haas was not renewed. Now Im not saying this is the reason he was canned, but I remember the media chatter about him bashing his stuff.
The point is, YOU DONT BITE THE HAND THAT FEEDS YOU!!!
Manny Esquerra did the same thing back on the 90's in desert racing...He is not racing!

Manny died behind the wheel of his race truck several years ago at parker. Don't know what happend between him and ford before that but he has a fairly decent excuse for not racing these day's.

i don't know. looks like much to do about nothing. sure, he has sponsors he has to mention every chance he gets and give them good publicity. He hates Dr Punch, he was in a bad mood and wanted to be somewhere else, and told him to f off or something.

I for one am tired for drivers apologizing for speeding tickets or mouthing off or whatever. they are human, the aint robots, and who hasn't had a bad day at work and said crap they probably shouldn't.

to me racing is about driving cars and winning, not selling crap and sipping coca cola on tv.

i would rather him tell punch to f off, then to be kiss ass to him, nascar and the tv network.

im a robby gordon fan, guess thats why I don't care if busch showed his emotion.

robby putting it out and not sugar coating it is why I like him

VAGAS................Harry Reed it says it all......you can say anything and just apologize .......no accountability that's our young today....it is shamefull. Spence should have a talk with his parrents.

Gee ......I guess Iam getting to old, it wasen't like that in my day. A razor strap cured most problems back then.
