Now that Robby has decided to own his own team and not sell out to another team, what are the chances he brings on a partner? To me, this is the only alternative that will allow Robby to build on what he has and be competitive week in and week out. What does everyone think?

That actually is a pretty damn good strategy. I'd go with a lil more than a slapdick driver though. Ya never know, couple RG's sales abilities, with a strong Daytona week,& there may, MAY be a shot at running some more with it. I hear Boris was in a Dodge last wknd....
I like it. Stir things up, create some chatter and throw a spitter at 'em. Thinking of a slapdick driver that will drive for only a small per diem plus a percentage.... I don't think Carpentier would mind sticking an ice pick into a GEM team right now. Or how about Matt Crafton or Brendan Gaughan?
....and Robby could probably get a decent driver for that extra car for free just to get the cup exposure.
There are a lot of Slap dicks out there willing to take a chance just getting a ride, making a few grand and getting their face around the track. This would be a good deal because RG would feel that the new guy couldn't get in on his action. I'm sure PJ or Buckshot or Brandon could ride around.
Oh no doubt theres plenty of guys who'd take the seat time (I knew I shoulda gone for that lisence), but I think putting somebody in who may be good enough to make something out of it is key. Just in case Robby pulls something off for an additional 5-33 races. Robby's been known to pull some shit off now,& then ya know.
Not that I'm tellin you anything you don't already know fly.
It wouldn't matter. If it actually does have some level of success then RGM could easily swap drivers for the best available...
The best out of the three drivers listed is Brenden. Robby's biggest concern would be that Brenden would out qualify him. I think Brenden could qualify and race his way into the Daytona 500. I think he is a driver that could do that.
How about Paul Tracy... wants a real chance and might have some cash to bring if he's previous team owner ever pays up
Hell of an Idea. I think he should talk to Ron Bailey.
