Connection 487km | Special Stage 290km | Total 777km
COURSE OVERVIEW
The competitors will have an early start and a long way to go to join the start of the special stage. But the pace that the drivers will have to keep up on the first very fast part of the route will immediately ensure that they remain extremely focused. After the big, fast bends negotiated on firm ground, the entrance in a backdrop of dunes will significantly slow down their progress. In Nihuil, the grey-coloured sand bears witness to the intense volcanic activity which occurred in the region several thousand years ago.

I'm banking on a flat tire being the cause of the time loss.
Nasser is driving the wheels off the 300.
Robby is loosing ground.
I am wondering if it may be navagational issues.
Very possible, JC's two interview clips made it seem like it he is going to have a tough time reading and riding. He just needs the bugs bounced out of him :)
I thought exactly the same thing. Didn't exude confidence did he?
Let's see how they do over the dunes in the last part of the ss... I would think the Hummers would be strong there.
Peteransel made up like 3:20 on the last stage on Holowczyc to finish 1st
Wow Robby only 1:48 behind Peterhansel at finish.
Was 3:35 behind him at WP4
The way Nasser has been running he could be the overall leader at the end of the day.
YA! RG made up a lot of time in the last section! Looks like he did well over the dunes which is great for the later stages of the event!
