STAGE 4: San Juan > Chilecito
Connection 424km | Special Stage 326 | Total 750km
COURSE OVERVIEW
The most experienced drivers will be able to enjoy counting the dried-up rivers that they will cross during the day. They will also have time to admire the spectacular canyons of the Province of Rioja, but it is in their best interest to remain extremely vigilant. Nobody will be able to keep up a steady pace during the special stage. Whether it be the navigational subtleties at the end of the route or the small hurdles to overcome, there will be many occasions to lose time here. It is likely that once the rally has reached Chilecito, one or two of the competitors will have already been eliminated from the battle for the title.

54 some seconds back after 500 some miles or so. not to shabby oxygen isnt a breaker or maker rite Mike.
When asked about altitude in one of his interviews, Nasser seemed to mention something about not shifting a lot, but I was not able to get what he meant about that.
He means that he short shifting and lugging the engine and not "on the pipe". This is less taxing on the drive train - less chance of needing spare parts.
Add a turbo to shove more air, which will make the engine run even hotter. You increase the number of radiator, but then extra weight, water may impact handeling. More complex the machine, more head aches to deal with, specially in an epic event like dakar. Robby I think finally has hit the right tone to move the edge into his favor
Oh bother, you are Dos Santos, you fall off the track and end up stuck in a big pool of water ?
Not that I'm rooting for the Minis, but what's the chance of something like that happening in a place like this ?
I didn't notice any of the other Minis stopping to tow him out either. Maybe he was behind them all, and they did not get the chance, but you gotta wonder.
This may be a bit off topic, but since Nasser's hauler is still not here, is he getting new tires from the ones Robby brought ?
Earlier there was some indication that he was running on the same group of tires he arrived with, but it's hard to imagine that that can go on for too long.
Buenos Aires, where the hauler is stuck seems like a hell of a long way away.
remember this video-http://www.planetrobby.com/video/toyo-speedteam-getting-it-done
I count 17 tires on crates, add to that the 6 on each Hummer.Thankfully there weren't a lot of punctures.
Well, robby did have the bead locks off in the video. Maybe they're switching them out.
With TOYO on the side of Robby's truck I'm sure tires are not what they are missing most from the second support truck. I would be willing to bet that the sleeping arrangements are a litttle cramped. Robby spoke of the creature comforts that the haulers provided, I just hope that dat ass ain't smelling to creature like, cause they still have a couple days to go.
Why is "SPEED" off the side of the Hummer and replaced with "FUEL"?
