STAGE 4 TRACKING

STAGE 4: San Juan > Chilecito

Connection 424km | Special Stage 326 | Total 750km

COURSE OVERVIEW

The most experienced drivers will be able to enjoy counting the dried-up rivers that they will cross during the day. They will also have time to admire the spectacular canyons of the Province of Rioja, but it is in their best interest to remain extremely vigilant. Nobody will be able to keep up a steady pace during the special stage. Whether it be the navigational subtleties at the end of the route or the small hurdles to overcome, there will be many occasions to lose time here. It is likely that once the rally has reached Chilecito, one or two of the competitors will have already been eliminated from the battle for the title.

TOG old or new chat?

Not that I want to nit pick or beat a dead horse but I thought they have been sayint the 4th-5th.

Of course I have not had Coffee yet either. Co, Cafe opens at 6:30.

good morning all, gas on team hummer, good luck and good speed

Good morning all. Just curious how the deal work with the 300 hummer. I understand QATAR sponsored the RGM owned hummer and Nasser. I see TOYO TIRE decals but no SPEED or FUEL decals what so ever. Just curious. Keep showing the world how to race hard Robby and Nassar awesome job so far.

An Argentine beverage co. owns the Speed name, so conflict of brands, so no SPEED Energy.

I Guess they didn't check the top of the Hummer?

I don't know TOG personally, but the heavy sarcasm in the "daily reminder" post made me smile.

RE: Fuel on side of truck vs. Speed - interesting glimpse into the complexities of multinational marketing. Jumping through all the regulatory and legal hoops in each country has got to be tiresome.

I caught the first Dakar update on the new NBC Sports channel - nice coverage of RG and Nasser, it's disappointing to bounce from near "live" updates here on the planet to stuff that's 2 days old on TV...but - I guess I'll take what I can get.

TOG, et al - thanks for the videos, pics and posts! I hope you're enjoying yourself.

i can remember when it was two months later in dirt rider mag. thanks from me to all that play (work) so hard in bringing all the info pics and vids
