Very true. Robby built this car from scrach and know its heart beat. If something is amiss, he would react right away to it. Nasser has no testing with the hummer and has not clue what to expect. At the same time, his style has never been conservative. Normally a lose spare wheel should make a lot of noise. Nasser did not notice it till the damage was done.
Not sure if you could hear it over the roar of the LS1
I disagree alittle. Nasser is not making alot of mistakes overtly. He is driving very hard indeed, he is agressive by nature. But his misfortunes are not all the result of driving hard. Spare tire comes loose and breaks a coolant line? Not his mistake. Unless the frame got bent in the almost-rollover, and it didn't look like damage was done. Maybe not tied down tight enough? They are employing great strategy I'll admit.
In the words of Timo Salenen, "Driving like hell".
Bottom line: This is exciting stuff - I realize I (and the rest of here) are biased...but, when you compare this to a Nascar Race, it's hard to understand why EVERY race fan isn't glued to this race every year.
The bikes are interesting, the coverage is pretty exciting (though I'd like another 30 mins a day) and the video footage is incredible.
I love this stuff and while I (of course) want RG to win - I just love seeing the competition and having Team Speed competitive.
Looking forward to the stage 5 video summary!
Totally agree...Race is awesome....Everyone go to their nearest GNC and buy some Speed Energy!!
RG is a great teammate!!
OK, Thanks
The reason Nascar fans aren't watching Dakar is because they are too busy calling their cable providers and complaining that "Hee Haw" isn't on TLC.
