Keeping it real about Charlotte and the rest of the races from here on out.

I just got off the phone with Robby. Just remember he is a fan of The Planet too... Robby reads this site and so do his crew guys. Please be cognizant of that.

Here is the deal. Robby has two new tire changers that he claims to be way faster than the previous gentlemen. I think he is correct.

Many jump to conclusions of what happened last night. What happened was the rear tire changer was removing the nuts and as you may know there is a spring in the socket that ejects the nuts so the socket is empty when the gun lands on the next nut. Well the freak luck would be when the nut ejected in mid air and the when the changer went for the next nut he caught the last nut sideways (90*) in the socket and it wedged in. These things happen to the best of them and is a part of racing, golf, football or whatever. Shit happens.

As for the exchange between 2 and 4 tires. This was a simple mistake with everyone included, including Robby. Nobody expected the golden nut to do what it did and it threw off the whole stop. Less than two months ago this wouldn't have been a factor taking two because the cars were set up different. The left front is so light now they lock up on flat ground because there is no weight on the tire due to the massive wedge it takes to get this car to work. So in the past we would have taken two and been back on the track. Live and learn boys and girls.

Robby is very excited about the entire crew he has now. He is very happy with Kirk and very very happy with the thoughts and execution by Johnny. Robby really feels he has the best cars ever and as you seen last night during their home game he was fast. Robby is still training his spotter and sees great things for both of them. He has dumped everyone for the most part and is replacing them with off-road guys. Robby feels this is better than bringing on the same pool of guys from Charlotte area.

No engineers, No NASCAR guys, Just imagineers.

Don't say... do

New ad out seeking offroad guys for NASCAR team.

Robby has a new doctrine: My way or the highway. No between

This will work for him.

So to sum it all up; good things are ahead of RGM and be nice to the crew because they are doing a very good job of busting their own balls when shit happens. They don't need to come here and get beat up. It's not good for moral and this is a direct request from Robby.

This is why The Uprising got flushed. People's feelings were getting hurt.

PS. Robby's new PRO2 is done and he is testing it next week for the Chula Vista race.

It looks like there's been some incredible gains made. It's good to do something different with the personnel and car, if you don't you know what to expect - the same thing. They're going their own way, and it's working. This week they had a killer car, and some bad luck hit them again. So you keep your head up, learn what you can from whatever happened, and get ready for next week. It's awesome. Good luck RGM!!!
Thanks Fly, nice to hear direct updates. Couldn't figure out what everyone was saying about the 'new' crew. Glad to hear here's going to use off-road guys. Been a fan of NASCAR forever but off-road even longer. Now he can have those people he can trust, and people that aren't part of the NASCAR community. Great to hear he has more control than ever. So it sounds like the Penske deal doesn't have a bunch of bullshit attached to it, which is good, it keeps the channels open. Anybody with an ounce of sense could tell how well they were running before the pit/tire incident so I can't wait to see what the future holds. Like you said shit happens, you have to look at the bigger picture.

I hope to see more updates from you, TOG and the other 'insiders' on the board. Sometimes, the not knowing leads to speculation and assumptions and we need people like you to straighten shit out for us.

And since you say the team does check out the site, I'm also going to take the opportunity to say great job to Rob and they guys for the run they were having up to incident.

And I'm adding a PS for TOG. If it means losing the site or keeping it going for those of us that don't have any other way to hear what's happening at RGM. Please start banning the assholes! It isn't that hard to tell who they are and I'd rather have that type of censorship than lose the site, and I hate censorship. Believe me, I bitch as much as anyone when I don't like what I see going on in a race, but I try to reserve that for private. Mainly because I hoped that Rob and the crew do visit the site. Some people log on here and spout off just to get attention, let them find somewhere else to have a life!!! 99% percent of us are here because we support Rob and the team, even if we grumble at times, those that come here just to stir shit up aren't needed.
Well said Lisa. I also want to say great job to all the new faces at RGM for doing a great job and preparing a kick ass car at LMS. Keep it up. My opinion is that this run last night(even though it ended up shitty) meant more to the team than the 8th at Talledega.
Yea, I always call people/team a pussy and then clarify by saying I wasnt bashing...
Ha Ha!
I agree with Lisa, most of us are positve fans who don't lose our minds and post crap when things get a little rough. I'd miss so many of the people here!!!
Looks like the new Dodge power is very good. Look at the finishing order and RG said he could pass the #9 and #2 at will. Robby says he and Roger have a good deal for engines and it should be good through the end of the year.
I haven't really paid much attention during this last race. (got home late) How is the gas mileage looking for them with this new engine? Is it better than the GEM engines? Thanks for the info Fly good to hear that it was a freak mistake last night, hopefully we can run well at Martinsville and get on to Atlanta and Texas!
As you said, Fly, "shit happens" but, damn, I would be delighted to see a little less of it happen to Robby! Send that man a four-leaf clover or something!
I've probably got a pair of lucky underwear i could lend him. lol......fruit of the loom of course
I think is one thing to get upset during a race when something goes wrong and post something negative out of the emotion of the moment (although there are still some lines that should not be crossed). It is completely different to get on here and post a bunch of negative shit all week long. We are Robby fans, I for one do not come here to read a bunch of bullshit about him or the team. If team members are reading this, keep you heads up and keep trying beat those mega-teams. I will still be pulling for you nomatter what.
I noticed that Robby and his team have seemed to have been doing better in the last 2 weeks. We may not like all of his recent decisions, but they are his to make. Where would Robby have finished if the lug nut incident had not have happened? Remember this sport is about more than just going around in circles like the Nascar critics say. It is strategy, teamwork, and a bit of Lady Luck’s blessings.
Thanks Fly, Tog and anyone else who can supply us with the facts.
