Join in and discuss all the action from Stage 11 of the 2012 Dakar Rally. Robby Gordon finished 4th in stage 10 & is now down over 19 minutes in the overall standings. Cars begin stage 11 at 7:44am/et (9:44am local). Raceday chat will be available throughout the entire 2012 Dakar Rally. Raceday chat now works on the Ipad & Iphone.

COURSE OVERVIEW
For the Dakar's first day in their country, Peruvians will be entitled to two special stages and additional kilometres for the motorcyclists. After a day spent switching between off-piste sections and areas interspersed with rivers, they will benefit from a moment of camaraderie?: a specific bivouac will be set up for them before they continue exploring Peru. The concept, which had not been tried out again since the camp of Foum Zguid in Morocco during the 2007 Dakar, will also create a major obstacle which will affect the management of the race. The assistance vehicles will not be authorized in the maintenance area, where only the motorcyclists and quad riders will be able to help each other.

Im sure RG allready knows this but Nassers gone, no time to worry bout that, just gas on all the way baby and give em some good ole fashion American hell!!! the best you can do is the best that you can do, I know he will, Go Get It!!! I am worried because they seem sooo content on protecting peteransole, eventhough he had a tangle with a bike stuck in a river (he coulda helped the guy in 30 secs) if he wanted to. That if RG gets the slight bit aggresive and God forbid makes contact with Peter, it will of course get blamed on RG.....its over for RG. Hopefully there will be no need for that and peter will abide by his passing signal as I excpect he wants otheres to do when he uses it! instead of running Rob into a huge rock. Interesting stage not alot of dunes but altitude not too incredibly high, hammer down we are pulling for yall all around the world! Just need the toyos to hold up on the rocky terrain should be fine! im done now, gnight all lol!!!

you no im 51 years old ,a rg fan for a long time ,but new about the dakar for even longer. privateers are not suppose to win the dakar thats why the open class has different rules.these rules allow the average privater to be able to hopefully finish the dakar rally even though about half of them wont and the beast of them that do finish 10 20 30 or more hours down.then theirs robby gorden who comes along and thinks he can not only run with the factory teams but this guy thinks he can actually ? WIN ? ..... welcome to the USA mother truckers. now leave the team be and take your beating like a man.robby and his team should demand your respect ,they worked hard for it
