STAGE 12: Arequipa > Nasca
Connection 412km | Special Stage 245km | Total 657km
COURSE OVERVIEW
Only a flight over the region can allow the Nazca Lines, mysterious motifs created in the ground more than 2,000 years ago, to be admired. The route of the special stage creates another line on the map of Peru which looks like a sand dragon. Although the areas of dunes are evenly spread out, the competitors will definitely remember one of them, which made a deep impression on the reconnaissance team. The dunes follow one after another continuously for almost twenty kilometres, transporting the drivers to a new dimension. As the sand will remain firm in this string of dunes, it will help the drivers to cross them without too much difficulty. But the most skilled dune-crossers will nevertheless be able to create a surprise, in particular three days before the final finish. Those who remember how to perform the "Mauritanian swerve" can save some precious minutes.

YEAH.....they just disqualified me from working LOL
If you file an appeal, you can keep working and find out in 3 weeks if yer gonna get paid. :)
How much time does Robby need to makeup on DeVillars to take over 3rd overall?
GO ROBBY GO cheer him on to the stage win!!!!!!!!!!!!!.................Later!
After watching the race director getting stuck in dunes for the final stages, I firmly believe that Robby still has a fighting chance to win this..... These Minis just don't have the suspension or tires for this. As for them shortening this stage because of this issue, SHAME ON THEM....They are figuring out that Robby can fly through this stage. Look out for a great finish....
Another 50 min
I said it once before today but it sure would be nice to hear that Robby disconnected the line to the intake to prove he could still kick their asses.
CA,
RG made up 5 mins @ last check point, was 59
It is more than likely they shortened the stage for the bikes then for the cars. Two wheelers have a lot less protection in hazardous conditions. The bikes also have to run tomorrow with zero support crew help since this is a special stage for them. Once they are stopped, no touching the bikes until tomorrow morning.
Even if the Mini's get stuck and can't continue, I don't think De Villes will spot us an hour. 10-15 per stage, maybe. But not 30. Which is what we need. :)
At this point I would settle for just whipping the Mini's
RG gained on 301 each cp, now 50 mins @ 10:50pst
