Keeping it real about Charlotte and the rest of the races from here on out.

I just got off the phone with Robby. Just remember he is a fan of The Planet too... Robby reads this site and so do his crew guys. Please be cognizant of that.

Here is the deal. Robby has two new tire changers that he claims to be way faster than the previous gentlemen. I think he is correct.

Many jump to conclusions of what happened last night. What happened was the rear tire changer was removing the nuts and as you may know there is a spring in the socket that ejects the nuts so the socket is empty when the gun lands on the next nut. Well the freak luck would be when the nut ejected in mid air and the when the changer went for the next nut he caught the last nut sideways (90*) in the socket and it wedged in. These things happen to the best of them and is a part of racing, golf, football or whatever. Shit happens.

As for the exchange between 2 and 4 tires. This was a simple mistake with everyone included, including Robby. Nobody expected the golden nut to do what it did and it threw off the whole stop. Less than two months ago this wouldn't have been a factor taking two because the cars were set up different. The left front is so light now they lock up on flat ground because there is no weight on the tire due to the massive wedge it takes to get this car to work. So in the past we would have taken two and been back on the track. Live and learn boys and girls.

Robby is very excited about the entire crew he has now. He is very happy with Kirk and very very happy with the thoughts and execution by Johnny. Robby really feels he has the best cars ever and as you seen last night during their home game he was fast. Robby is still training his spotter and sees great things for both of them. He has dumped everyone for the most part and is replacing them with off-road guys. Robby feels this is better than bringing on the same pool of guys from Charlotte area.

No engineers, No NASCAR guys, Just imagineers.

Don't say... do

New ad out seeking offroad guys for NASCAR team.

Robby has a new doctrine: My way or the highway. No between

This will work for him.

So to sum it all up; good things are ahead of RGM and be nice to the crew because they are doing a very good job of busting their own balls when shit happens. They don't need to come here and get beat up. It's not good for moral and this is a direct request from Robby.

This is why The Uprising got flushed. People's feelings were getting hurt.

PS. Robby's new PRO2 is done and he is testing it next week for the Chula Vista race.

I will reply to Paths message as I totally agree with her. I think the only "bad" thing I have said was to Robby I think the quote was "Shut up and drive" but I think he is a big boy and can take a little flak from the IAdrtgrl. I just love to see the boy drive, when he does well on a Sunday, they tend to show him more and we get to see him more! It's hard to call him boy when he is my age, but man he can drive anything with wheels. I am just HOPING AND PRAYING he is back at the Prelude this year..........HEAR ME ROBBY?!? I'm am so there. I want to see that big smile on his face when he wins it next year! Now, if I coul only get you in a sprint car at Knoxville........a girl can dream can't she!? I will fly you in Path!!
Well I'm glad wholesale changes are being made, sounds like Robby is getting what he needs....new fresh ideas. I've never been one to come on hear and "beat anybody up"....I certainly voice my opinion and will continue to. I still think the whole plug pull on the uprising was crap. Were feelings hurt when we were sending emails to NASCAR after Daytona? Were feelings hurt when I grabbed a Monster drink instead of a Red Bull? Were feelings hurt when RGM was sliding my credit card before sending merchandise? Were feelings hurt when we were going to JimBeam.com and buying "Rally for Robby shirts"?...My feelings were hurt when that rug got pulled out from under my feet and all I was doing was supporting him.....it's a two way street...With that said, I certainly don't think I have a right to go on any website and be an asshole just because I did those things to support him...it was only a few...and the rest of us got flushed down with the crap..

Now that I have revisited that........sure was fun to see the #7 passing cars....he was slick ass fast on the straightaways this last weekend.....I could use a weekly dose of that!
Well said Tim
Ditto. Respect is a two way street.
Like you Tim I am still pissed about the money I tanked on RUR stickers, shirts etc, just to have it flushed. Many of us have done nothing but try to keep up the beat for RG all year. When he flushed it I was mad but not to the point of turning my back on him or the team. And like you it was a blast watching him thunder through the field this weekend. I was sitting in turn 2 and the run he got off that corner lap after lap was awesome!
I was excited to see Robby getting TV time as the leader only to have the rug pulled out with the gun failure and then the flat. I know how bad I felt so it had to be a lot worse for Robby and the team. The positive side of it all is he seems to be running better even if the results don't always show it. I'm a fan no matter where he runs but it's a lot more fun to see him running well and I am encouraged by what I've been seeing.

Good thread Fly.
I like the way Robby is thinking. They were working on an awesome run until the fluke happened.
#7 rules !!!
lets not all forget that he did put a uprising wrap on the bumper for us all that was robby saying thank you for all of our support
Thanks for this post Fly.
Replacing the crew with off-road guys, for me thats thinking outside the box, Alan Kulwicky style! Thats why he's #7.
But that raises the question, how will the car look at Martinsville, will it have some off-road technology, something like this?

sorry, I just couldn't resist... lol

Pedal to the metal Robby!!
That might help Robby at Martinsville...just drive over the curb and through the grass in the corners...the tires in the back might help with rear grip. And the light bar is perfect. Thanks for the laugh Bruno.
That car would have been perfect for Indy with all the tire issues.
Reminds me of that 4x4 Camaro .....!
