@Kenyon: As a Robby fan I like to see as many Speed Energy sponsored cars as possible. The more exposure for speed, the more the brand grows and that results in more $ for RGM; which in turn equals more and better racing/equipment for Robby. Always cheering 77 first, followed by any other Speed Energy affiliated team.
Does anybody have any idea of the affiliation with RPM? Is RPM building there own stuff? Getting support/parts/trucks from RGM?
Good luck to RGM in 2012 off road
do you pay to watch this desert race or can you just show up saturday and find a spot to watch the race.
I believe there are designated areas and you only have to pay for RV's UTV's and ATV's
From BITD web site,Parker Blue Water 425/ www.bitd.com
SPECTATOR AREAS
There are (3) spectator areas for the race; one is on Shea Road
and two in Bouse at the “Y”. Both areas have walk-in day use
areas. The following are prohibited:
1. Camping in any area outside the designated spectator
areas.
2. Parking, stopping, or standing any vehicle outside of
the designated spectator areas.
3. Failure to keep your site free of trash and litter during
the period of occupancy or failing to remove all
personal equipment, trash, and litter upon departure.
I had a similar question regarding camping and locations to watch the race. Someone recommended the BITD website... Useless! These guys are very good coordinating the race but have zero promotional skills. My wife called the Las Vegas BITD office and received no help answering questions about camping/attendance. CRIT and Parker Chamber of Commerce were somewhat helpful. Someone needs to play a bigger role in addressing spectator interests and ultimately grow the fan base for off road racing. I would think that sponsors want families attending and want to make it easy for RV's or walk in general spectators. Most of the info I get is from other Forums. River Dave had some good info on this subject last year. May have to rejuvinate that thread.
