NASCAR fans will have an opportunity to snap up two authentic race cars when Robby Gordon's No. 7 Dodge Charger (Lot #162.1) that raced this year in the Sharpie 500 at Bristol and Kurt Busch's 2007 Dodge Charger No. 2 (Lot #163) that competed at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, are sold. All proceeds from the sale of Kurt Busch's car will go to the Kurt Busch Foundation, which benefits The Victory Junction Gang Camp.

Diecasts, ugh, the mfg of them drive me nuts! There was 1 I really wanted and passed because of funds and I haven't kicked myself to death over it yet as there's always ebay. I'm so into the details being right on them and none of the mfg's see fit of late to get them right and it makes me not want to spend retail on them if at all because of the disgust in their lack of caring what fans put their money into.
I've yet to buy a CFS by what I've seen of others buying them, the detail has improved a bunch, but still not worth the money in my eyes.
I love diecasts, so it does kill me to not be buying any, the last one I added was John Force's 14th championship car and it had 2 details that were assembled incorrectly and I don't know the drag cars anywhere near as well as Nascar. Just want to run over to China and show them a real car so they can get it right! :p

IIRC the last Cup car that sold was Jack selling Mark's RC 'leadsled' and it went for $12,000 on Barretts.
The car will beone of the next 3 or 4 cars, I am guessing $62,500.

RG offered to make the car street legal. He said you could pull up next to your buddy in a Ferrari and he wouldn't be able to see through the smoke to tell how bad he got beat. lol. The car went for $73,000, not too bad
will have the video up soon
I was close, I wonder how the car would be made street legal, I assume as a kit car.

Thank you. I started watching the show and as soon as Robby's car pulled up on the block, my power went off. How much did the 2 car get?
Damn it! I knew I forgot something today! I was busy doing other things and forgot about the TV. So know I sit here impaitantly waiting for the video to be uploaded....lol
don't feel bad. I got stuck home waiting for an electrician that never showed up and called AFTER the auction time to reschedule!!! I'm not a happy camper tonight!
Not bad, not bad. I wanna see what a salemen Robby was ;) thanks Tog for vid when it's up.

This is what the site has up for final price

162.1 2008 DODGE CHARGER NASCAR ROBBY GORDON #7 70000.00
163 2007 DODGE CHARGER NASCAR KURT BUSCH #2 85000.00
Robby included the offer to make it street legal with a title, I would guess he would title in Az. he knows the ropes to this, in addition you get to be honorary crew on the car in Vegas next year.

Kurt included a first class trip for 2 to next years Daytona 500, including airfair, room, pit passes, suite tix etc.

They were both class acts
Not bad at all, considering they sold a Dale Earnhardt race winning car a few years back for $76,500.00 or $73,500.000. (I forget which, sorry.)
People who were there yesterday and today have told me they haven't had the numbers they were expecting in the way of ticket sales. Maybe Saturday will pick up? Vegas is really slow right now anyway.
