How about the "mysterious" fire on Robby's electrical equipment at the Glen in 2001? To this this day I question NASCAR's integrity on that one. It never happened before that, and it has never happened since. Hmmm.
Hands down, Robbys "win" at Montreal. Whether were fans or not, you have to admit, that was a head scratcher.
The weirdest races I have seen or been apart of have been in Baja. Then again the the uncommon is sort of common in Baja. As far as NASCAR events go this years 500 was hands down the weirdest race. I was joking that I was waiting for a plane to make an emergency landing on the grass between pit road and the track with 4 laps to go.
it was the '89 or '90 long beach grand prix.
two of the formula atlantics tangled up and ended up sliding upside down on their rollbars down the escape road at the end of the backstretch.... on the cool down lap - post checkered flag
I thought the last lap of the nationwide race saturday was stange. The 11th place car coming out of turn 4 wins the race... that's crazy. I also think the first nationwide race in the rain in Montreal was pretty weird with cars wrecking under caution and stuff.
That first race on rain tires was a weird event - but the second one was worse as I remember.
this 500 definitely is in the top 3 for me...
