My biggest question is if Robby is not getting any support this year from Dodge, then why run a Dodge??? Robby seems to get Chevy support in his other endevors. Robby builds his own chassis, and his own engines and maybe he got a couple of sponsorship help from Dodge last year, but Dodge sure blew it this year with Robby. Sure even if he had a Penske/Dodge engine there is no garuentte that the engine wouldnt blow, but with biggest race of the season, with the most tv coverage and biggest prize money, you would think Dodge would want to do everything possible to win. Doesnt Race and Win on Sunday or Monday still mean sell on Tuesday??? Or does Dodge not care about sales?

Who says they don't help in some fashion? Penske Racing & RGM are still SEPARATE race teams, regardless if they both run Dodge.

From Pauls post..."Sure even if he had a Penske/Dodge engine there is no garuentte that the engine wouldnt blow"

True BUT an easy bet...If you run a used up engine its gonna crater.
Hi Perf racing engines are stressed to the max to get every bit of power from every pound of weight and every part is pretty much at its maximum stress, its a true balancing act. Also built in is longevity, make as much horsepower/torque for as long as needed, pulse some extra (error margin).

So when a racing engine is not making the power it should, not sounding quite right, is past its serviceable time ITS JUNK until its freshened up or rebuilt. The only exceptions would be broken plug, fuel delivery problem, electrial gremlin....ect...ect.(something that can be corrected external) One thing I have learned over the decades of racing I have been involved with, if everything isn't tested, fresh and well prepped your wasting your entry, time and doing nothing but damaging your image for future sponsorship.

Unless last place pays $250K!

@FD, who said they show'd up with a worn out/tired engine? With the cooling restrictions placed on teams by Na$crap the engine could been hurt doing mach Q runs.

per Robby's interview, the soft engine was a EFI tuning issue that burnt a piston.not showing up with a piece of shit.

HmmmmmVeeerrryyInteeeeresting..

i really, really, really hope josh wise lacks grip on saturday

This might be a silly question but do race teams have the ability to paint the cars after they leave the shop? If not, what did the 7 team do after Daytona? Pretty sure they had a blue and a black car and needed an engin. Did they go back to NC and then travel to Phoenix? If so, what is the team's status and ETA? Finally, is Bashas' sponsoring the 7 car this week? So many questions to answer. When will we have the Phoenix race page? I don't care about the hauler, the chassis or the engine, I am just curious of what Robby's plans are for this weekend out side of selling and giving away a TON of Speed Energy drinks at Bashas' across the greater Phoenix area. I am trying not to get my hopes up for anything other than a S&P this week.
