The truck that had help from his IndyCar crew was that low rider truck, rumored to have 44 inches of travel that came out around 1994 or 95 ish?
IF this was RG's old prerunner and it looks like it could have been, then it would have never been a race truck or converted race to pre run truck. When they say this was a 66 Ford what is meant is they used a 66 frame for registration and to get out of California Smog laws. So per the reg it would show as a 1966 Ford, not a early 90's as the body looks. RG had two trucks like this that were similar. A white one which this could be and a later model Ford that was Yellow and was sold to Mark Post when he bought the #3 TT which is now known as the Riviera TT. The yellow truck was painted black to match the rest of Mark's stuff. I assume Mark still has it. The one thing that makes me think the white truck pictured above is the old RG prerunner is the small back window. That would have been the glass out of the rear of a 66 Ford truck. If you have any of RG's old off-road videos then you would have seen this truck in a few.
The old Valvoline Ford pictures on the first page looks more like the old Venable class 8 truck and not Roseanne. Also the youtube video with RG doing the wheelie would have been the front engine TT that Mark Post owns (#3 TT).
That does look like a 66 rear window....I saw my 66 the other day. I saw it last in 81'.....
Todd,
I think that truck is Roseanne. I thought the Venable/Rough Rider 8 truck went to a Mexican National who races the CODE series.
Maybe it is, but I thought Roseanne was the truck that went to Mexico? To many trucks t keep track of. BTW where did your truck end up?
I don't know exactly but I think Nikal hit the nail on the head. I'm sure someone could dig up some old pictures of this truck back in the day..? I remember it used to be blue as well. The rear window is how I remember it too. I found these pictures posted on a friends facebook. Pretty cool anyway
